We had quite a few URAL and Chinese knock off motorcycles done up to look like German BMWs complete with side cars. At Jump to Destiny. In addition to just looking and sounding cool they were quite handy for running errands. I wish we had an Indian or Harley to supplement the Jeeps we had.

Yes, the two annual WW1 reenactments I usually do at Newville PA are greatly enhanced by the sounds....machine guns, gunfire, mortars, the engines of trucks and motorcycles and much more rarely, the aircraft. That noise is a part of the contribution of the motorcycle to the overall event impression and immersion.
