I would buy it, but like most of Marushin's rifles the bolt will end up in pieces because they like to use pot metal

I´m going to wait as well. But it´s sooooo tempting!

Looks promising though they need to change the pot metal to steel and remove the bayonet lug, then I would have bought it in a heartbeat

Hmmm. Who knows. What we DO know is that Marushin guns tend to be flimsy and not too skirmishable. They also tend to have internal problems. But Marushin kept insisting that the internals are reinforced to handle cold temperatures and the pressure of Co2. Anyways, hopefully this rifle will be their redeemer. I think I might go for it.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised. My ARES PPSH's charging handle cracked because of the blowback. I'm no sure if it's pot metal or aluminum alloy. All I know is, it cracked. But let's think logically. If the rifle is priced at $388.00, what are we to expect? Pot metal, alloy?

I can guarantee that it's pot metal or aluminum alloy, for 450 I want steel

Same. But I guess we have to make do with what we got. Unless another company decides to bring one of these out (which I don't see happening anywhere), we're stuck with this. It's still pretty exciting though! Such a long wait. I'd definitely convert it into an M1A1 though.
Didn't ARES announce and M1 Garand, Carbine, and Nagant? Whatever happened to that?

I wonder if anyone from marushin actually owns and fires one of their own rifles? They all have one HUGE problem (Crappy bolt), and they never ever fixed it, so it's their fault they're failing lol

it seems as if everyone is either broke, or too paranoid to test it out. I happen to fall within both categories

I'm currently in the process of acquiring money in order to purchase this rifle. I really want to test it.

Well, I just took the plunge at RedWolf, not cheap by any means at $388 and $46 for a spare mag. I hope to have this for the Falaise Gap game in August. I'll write a review up after I give it a skirmish.

Hornet. I too am anxious to see your review and if favorable will no doubt add the weapon to my armory. Years ago i had the 6mm marushin cock every time carbine and in spite of the limitations loved it. The semi auto 8mm was a step backwards however. I owned both but only miss my initial 6mm version. The lack of a good m1 carbine is a big whole in available allied weaponry. With your greaser and home made garand youre well armed!

2nd Bat I agree that the M1 Carbine is a niche that has yet to be filled. I was going to do the KJW, but I did not like the receiver. Looked too much like the 10/22 I inlaid into a carbine stock.
I'm hopeful but not confident, that since the C02 will require additional strength, the action has been worked accordingly. We'll see in the next week or two.
Tommygunner9, I too have been frustrated by the lack of any review or information available outside of the vendor world. I'll do an "opening of the box review" and then a post skirmish review. Got my fingers crossed!!

Bravo Steve, Now I can wait until you let me fire it at Falaise! ;D ;D ;D I too am excited about this gun, but my Mac just crapped out on me and I just dropped a nice $1800.00 on a new one. All I could think of was how many airsoft guns I could have bought with that money! Migs
