Hi all,
How reliable is it? I've heard many explanations from different sources. Ive also heard of the bolt being easily worn out. Has this been fixed?

The sear in the bolt is what wore down quickly, they've now fixed it. So far mine is shooting great, mind you I modded it to external Co2 ( ww2aa.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=technical&thread=9765&page=1#115577 ) Used in one game, lots of plinking at home ~200-300 rounds. So far so great. Only thing I can complain about is the 8G Co2 bulbs, you get about ~50 shots. It's great for the first ~30 shots, great range good punch. The next ~20 progressively get noticeably a lot worse. The last 10, are just pathetic. All the more reason as to why I modded it to external air. I would modify it like I have, or wait a bit longer for the Propane/Green gas mags to come out, and use them.

Sound slike I might get it. SO, usually, the first rounds are good, then you need to refill it with co2?
How do you fill it, the mag or in the bolt?

By Bulb, do you mena part of the mag, or te co2 canister? the canister wouldnt be a prob the mag would...so which does the problem lie in?

By Bulb, do you mena part of the mag, or te co2 canister? the canister wouldnt be a prob the mag would...so which does the problem lie in? Not sure exactly what you mean but here's my best shot, hope this covers it. The small 8Gram Co2 bulb/canister runs out of Co2 real quick, since it is so small. This thing: After ~20 shots, you start to notice it gets low on gas. When it gets low on gas, you get less range and less power. Making your shots come up shorter and shorter as you continue to shoot, it gets noticeably worse as you go. This makes shooting pretty inconsistent. To me - Consistency is what makes a good shooter. Because of this, I believe the gas system that the mags use, is a bad design. The mags themselves are a great design, very robust and strong. I just wish they came out with Propane/Green gas magazines from the start. Instead of releasing them now. If you pickup some propane/Green gas mags, you should be golden. I have no experience with them but I'm betting they most likely will be more consistent than the small Co2. In sum... G&G K98 = Awesome Co2 mags = Not so awesome. Propane/Green gas mags = Should be more awesome. If you have the opportunity to try before you buy, test it out and see. I strongly suggest trying it out at long ranges (~200+ feet) Shoot until the Co2 runs out, and you'll see what I mean. Hope that helps!

Yeah I've skirmished with mine twice, the co2 mags stark leaking like no tomorrow. When they do work, the rifle shoots quite well. I got mad at the leaking issues because its to the point where the bb goes five feet. So I bought one these cool new green gas mags. Needless to say, I haven't had good testing conditions. True actual green gas when it was cold out, only shot maybe thirty feet. Then I tried duster gas because I don't have any normal gas and I got similar results. I'm going to try flat out propane when it gets a bit warmer, and if I don't get the results I'd like to get. Then you'll see it for sale.
