Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but does anyone know a place that sells the 6mm M1 really cheap? I was thinking it would be fun to have and try to game (with enough enblocks). I know it really isn't the best gun for skirmishes and I am aware of the G&G m1 thats coming out but I really am taking a liking to the Marushin gun.

Thanks ScottCollins! Also I heard that the newer 6mm version was better due to reenforced parts. Is that true? Or is it basically the same gun with the same probobility of breaking from normal use.

The only guns Marushin used real steel on (besides some older guns) are the newer m1 carbine. All of their m1 garands used pot metal, so they won't last very long
If you want an m1 garand you should go with the m14 conversion , that's the most reliable and skirmishable. I've had one for around three years and after I fixed it up (needed a new fuse, front sight was loose, gas tube was loose, and a cracked stock), no problems since then... but I bought it from someone who used it as a baseball bat ;D

I know Its not all that great of a gun but I do plan on getting the G&G Garand when that comes out. That is a definite! I thought It would be a fun gun to play around with. Also, should I get the 6mm or 8mm version? Any pros or cons to either besides ammo availability?

The 6mm one is going to last a little bit longer because the round is smaller. I have their 8mm m1 carbine and the bolt broke about 300 shots (I was using brown gas instead of green gas)

I guess it's the same as duster gas for computers, but you probably need an adapter for the can.
Green gas = HFC22 Brown gas/ Duster gas = HFC134a

I have been using mine on a weekly basis since 2015, excepting the 6 months I was gone for BCT and AIT, and all I have ever had to replace was the roller on the hammer. On a side note, it turns out that a simple but works just fine in place of the roller. Ive had to 3d print clips, and find the spring to use, but all that aside, she still works just fine. They are perfectly reliable when used correctly and maintained on a regular basis.
