I need to put in for time off, but I doubt that'll be a problem, so I'll probably be there

I think my favorite part of the movie was the HJ kid with the Carcano. Not sure why, but I thought that was great.

Tan and water is a variant of splinter, any splinter will work, it's just the first that came to mind. Any I'm not to sure about helmet color, I'm an SS kind of guy. I'll do some digging though, and see what I can find.

Using the zelts as ponchos was pretty common, I've seen plenty of original pics of it. And I'm sure that would be fine with most of us

Tan and Water was fairly common for Heer, jackets and helmet covers.

Dot 44 is strictly SS, as is any Oak or Palm variant. Heer units wearing SS camo would be strictly punished.

On the conversion of blank fire reenactors to airsofters, many reenactors think we aren't serious enough and dislike us for our lack I authenticity. In the Year I've spent as a reenactor I've become disgusted at the amout of dislike they sometimes have towards airsofters. But it seems that those who have participated in a game are far more accepting. I do my best to encourage them to play Airsoft, but my efforts haven't been very fruitful.
Also, on the 100% accuracy of blank fire, we do understand that not every shot is a kill. At bf events you'd be amazed at the amount of fire we lay down with zero kills.

If I can make it, which I can't guarantee yet, I can bring some extra German gear. Some SS zelts, an extra pair of trousers, a tunic or two, and some gear.

I have quite the large head, I purchased a helmet from Hessen Antique. The large ones that aren't painted yet. They're the largest ones they have and are reasonably priced.

You can pick up a parts kit for these soumis pretty cheap if you want to use original parts. They're pretty cheap firearms, I've seen them go fully assembled, with a few stick mags, coffin mags, and drum mags for only about $500

SS was not only German. Take for instance the Italian SS and the Latvian SS. 7th SS Viking was made up of all different Nordic peoples, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, etc.

The SKS was actually created very early in the war, in the form of the SKS41 (7.62x54r). It didn't go into production, it was decided the PTRS was more important. At the end of the war, the SKS we know was issued in small amounts to the soldiers of the BeloRussian front, and was used a small amount in the Battle of Berlin. Just a little bit of insight.

If you're at an Eastern front game, it could be acceptable, but a Mosin would never be brought back from the eastern front and used in the West.

The idea behind rifling in a firearm is to have the bullet expand into the grooves of the barrel to get it spinning. BBs don't expand in the barrel. If anything, it seems the rifling would allow for more air to escape, giving the opposite intended effect
