People will be at the field as early as Friday night. For some trigger time.
08:00 Saturday morning is the start time.
The scenarios will start with a mission briefing before each game. During the briefing you r team will be given the games rules of engagements, scenarios objectives, and mission timing.
Example of one scenario:
Scenario Objective: The German team will have to shoot at 3 targets from across the reservoir with the 105 air cannon. The allied team will have to try and stop the arty from accomplishing its goal of destroying the allied landing crafts in that sector. Mission time is 1.5hr or until all the landing crafts are destroyed or the gun is spiked by the allied team. A charge will have to be set at the base of the 105 (a smoke bomb) in order to destroy the gun. German Defenses: 2, pill boxes 6, slit trenches 4, MG pits (2 maxim, 1 MG42 on HK mount, 1 MG34. ) 1, 105 air cannon (actual rang 500ft) with 48 water rounds 1 or 2, 75mm air mortar (actual rang 300ft) with 20 water rounds each, if finished with in time for the game. Simulated barbed wire 3, land minds (CLAYMORES ON TRIP WIRE)
Rules of engagement: (Allied force)
1. The allied team will have 2 to 3 (depending on the size of the force) spawns to accomplish its goal. Each player will have a spawn chip they must deposit before returning to the field of battle. 2. Spawns can ONLY happen when 3 or more Allied players are in the spawn area. 3. Upon the solders last death they will have to remain on the field of battle with a death rage draped over them to simulate a bloody hit . This will add to the realism of the game and cut down on the needless wondering and talking of dead players 4. A charge will have to be set at the base of the 105 (a smoke bomb) in order to destroy the gun. 5. Each member of the Allied team will have 1 grenade each to use. ( a grenade hit must land within 5 ft of the enemy upon completion of its movement.) 6.The allied team will have 2-3 radios to use.
Rules of engagement: (German force)
1. The German team will have 1 spawn to accomplish its goal. Each player will have a spawn chip they must deposit before returning to the field of battle. 2. Spawns can ONLY happen when HALF of the playing force is in the spawn area. This will simulate a mass reinforcement. 3. Upon the solders last death they will have to remain on the field of battle with a death rage draped over them to simulate a bloody hit . This will add to the realism of the game and cut down on the needless wondering and talking of dead players 4.The 105 will have 24 water rounds to shoot and another 24 at a designated ammo depot they must return to in order for more rounds to be used to accomplish its goal. 5. German team MUST have 2 players to retrieve the extra ammo. 6.The German team will have 2 radios to us .
If you would like pics of the field e-mail me at sales@airsoftcorner.com

The Kar 98 from D Boys is a recent new offering for WW2 airsofters. It's shell ejecting feature although clever and kinda cool does greatly rswtrict it's capacity for use in skirmish play but I have seen it done and it does present adequate performance for someone anxious to strive for uber realism. I have always felt that with the downsides it needed some more dramatic upsides to encourage it's use more often. Out of the box it typically shoots on par with an AEG. (Albeit somewhat inconsistently) It seemed to me if the FPS could be enhanced without increasing the bolt effort I player might really have something. In most cases the two ideas are at odds with one another. A friend owns a tight bore barrel company (DB Custom) and he fiddled with one a bit and discovered quite to his surprise that the existing barrel is two parts. The close in barrel is fairly lose with regard to tolerance but most shockingly is only about 9 and 1/2 inches long. The extension of the barrel beyond that is nearly 8mm! Hence a great deal of potential efficiency is lost. He is experimenting with both a tightbore barrel at the original 9 1/2 inches long and a more appropriately lengthened barrel in a tightbore spec. Either way he is confident the performance will be greatly enhnaced. To the point that the gun should be tunable to a top performer at the edges of acceptability for bolt action rifles. (500 plus FPS) The bolt effort should remain the same. If the gun could be customized to shoot performance BBs in a heavier weight it could be quite skirmishable and a force to be reconned with. I keep you posted on the results of his efforts. Sadly it is a somewhat challenging rifle to switch barrel on. Once he's figured it out someone should offer an upgrade package for this weapon. I'd love to see more of them fielded in WW2 games especially now that the all wood version is available. This would of course put it close to the price range of the Tanaka but offer comparable performance without the use of gas which is quite limiting. (Especially in the cold weather) One will still have to deal with the ejecting shells but there are folks approaching methods to reduce those costs as well. Actually the inner barrel is the same size as an M4 (433mm) and is a 6.07mm diamiter....Most likly a M700 inner barrel by the looks of it. We modified a 6.04 433mm M4 to work in Rays D-Boy Kar98 with a modified spring... If you look at Gefreiter Raimund ( ww2aa.proboards45.com/index.cgi?board=gun&action=display&thread=1197008859&page=3) review and customizing we at airsoftcorner did it might help you out some....

Lately, I have been trying to think about any possible way to create a clip system for this gun without changing the internals. I was thinking that maybe if one could secure one of the shells to the bolt assembly, maybe there would be a way to simply slip a clip (20-25 rounds) into the gun. Essentially the mechanism would need to be spring operated and literally push a bb into the shell and then slide back down as the bolt and shell slide over it. Has anyone else had any ideas? It seems like a long shot, but maybe there is a way. BUY A TANAKA KAR98K

I found that the stock is quite good. They did a great job on the staining of the gun and over all looks... The Stock is made from the same wood as the Tanaka KAR 98 stock...
I"ll put some pictures of the wood and the Plastic versions up tonight so you can compare the two. plus the weights of all 3 (D-Boy & Tanaka)

The wood stock is of good quality and adds some nice poundage to the Kar98..... It also looks like they may have improved on the bolt assembly ..... www.airsoftcorner.com/AXIS.html
