That would be the ACM version BAR! I still like mine more and most likely won't be buying a factory made BAR because mine takes stock m14 mags, and all 12 still fit very well in the magazine belt!

There is a lot of joy in using a custom gun you built yourself and God Knows you never get a return on the work you put in. If your efforts JIMMI ME BOY lead to a manufacturer cranking these out, we will all be in your debt. It actually has all the signature charcteristics of most airsoft guns: Small size, big magazine, high rate of fire, exotic and cool looking. Hopefully someone will jump on it since you have shown them the way!
Great job.

I know with the release of the echo 1 and acm brownien probably is less enthusiastic about sharing his efforts but based on his early work and the approach he was taking id love to see his finalized production. i hope he posts his BAR.

Well since I havve just got my father's welder back from my uncle, i hope to have it all welded up by the middle of the week. I have the bottom plate and trigger guard made up but i will be using the magazine catch from the m14 in my BAR. I have seemed to lose sight now that the ACM and Echo1's have come out, but being so close I just have to get it working and done! Also thanks Hornet! Im glad you like it! Ill be sure to put it to good use at the upcoming Hurtgen Forest event this Feb.

Here it is! My take on the FG42 type 1 To summarize: Receiver is 1mm sheet steel folded and welded to two steel tubes with a 32mm id. Iron sights, barrel, muzzle, bayonet lug, bipod mount/gas tube are aluminium. Bipod, handguard, buttstock are fiberglass. Internals: version 7 gearbox, modified nozzle, sten motorcage, sten hop chamber, microswitch, mosfet without AB. Magazine: King arms M14 midcaps Again, i wouldn't have been able to build this without this kit: x5model.blogspot.com/search/label/1%3A1%20Fallschirmj%C3%A4gergewehr%20FG42Here are the pics: Unfortunately, because of the local gunban (election season over here), outdoor pics will have to wait...in the meantime here's a poor indoor shot just for size reference

I think it's one of the few WW2 rifles that you can actually get away with M4-style tacticool carry. The straight lines and angled grip just make it natural.

My guess is you just can't wait to haul it out to your next ww2 event and put it thru its paces. Very cool for you.

It is truly one of the coolest builds to date. This weapon was way ahead of its time. Iconic with the para gettup. Awesome job. Thanks so much for sharing. It would be wonderful if it were to inspire ICS, GnG, Matrix or one of the builders that have recently begun to acknowledge our niche.
This would have much broader acceptance within the general airsoft crowd much as the PPSHs have.

Great job! Btw, how do those King Arms M14 mags work with your conversion? Any tricks needed?

These latest pictures are awesome and highlight how small this weapon was compared to most ww2 main battle weapons.
Very very cool build.

High when using a micro switch on the trigger, and it is just a signal switch for a MOSFET does any body know what rating the micro switch needs to be. i have found a very small switch usually found in a computer mouse,it is 30v 0.5amp dc,would this get fried or is it ok.
