I always liked GBBs better than anything else, and this will really make you feel like a 30s or 40s gangster
I hope it uses the same magazine as the AEG version

If AEG mags are compatible with the gbb that'd be nice

I wonder if u can switch from a vertical grip to a horizontal grip like the real 1928. Or even remove the butt stock

If it is like most other GBBRs, the magazines will also hold the gas, so they are unlikely to be compatible with AEG version. The only GBBRs of which I am aware that use regular AEG mags use an external gas source.

not sure what to say about this, not the biggest fan of gbbr's for practicality and cost efficiency =/

AEG blowback would have worked well

Electric blowback generally has no recoil. It does little more than wiggle the bolt, reduce your rate of fire, drain the battery more quickly and increase wear on the gearbox.

I'm the opposite, I have terrible luck with AEG's and nearly all of my armory are gas guns. They're more realistic too

Gas guns are more realistic except when it comes to durability and reliability. If they got past that hurdle and offered reasonably priced magazines id be all over them

I haven't had bad luck with the gbb's just find them to be less cost efficient =S I also think EBB is dumb, unless it's made by TM, have you seen their new gearbox or w/e?it stop shooting when the mag's empty, pretty cool if you ask me =D

I agree EBB are pointless... it's more of a toy than the kind of things that we look for.
I know GBB aren't very reliable, I should have been more specific when I said gas guns. The ONLY gas-blowback rifle I've ever owned was an 8mm Marushin M1 Carbine MAXI. It was the first airsoft gun I owned. That's right, it wasn't a little wallmart spring gun, a GBB M1 Carbine. ( definitly not the best beginners gun)
Besides that, all of my armory now is either gas revolvers and non-blowback pistols, or bolt action rifles (the bolt action rifles I built myself ;D ) and one shotgun.

apparently this GBB thompson will morph into a CO2 magazined gun offering both sticks and a drum magazine. Hmmmmmm? ?

Co2 guns can be fully automatic? I've never seen one, most of them are either pistols, revolvers, or bolt-action rifles

Co2 will definitely get cold in a hurry so obviously burst fire with pauses would be required. Wow sounds remarkably authentic.

Maybe it would have been better if it was Propane/Green gas and not Co2. I really like gas powered airsoft guns because of the realism and they are way more fun to shoot!

CO2 is actually a far better airsoft propellant than green gas or CO2. Its vapor pressure is less affected by the range of temperatures airsofters encounter and it is nicely consistent and has far less cooldown.
I know this full well from running GBB M4 carbines for a while- the CO2 magazines were more dependable.

Is it me, or does that magazine look too long?

Maybe its just the foregrip that makes it look out of proportion? When I had the foregrip on my 28' the mag did look a bit too long, but yea the one shown in the vid may be just a tad too long.

Of course, the 1928 wasn't used much in WWII. I want an M1A1 version too. Maybe even a 1921?

The 1928 model was used quite extensively in the early part of the war by the British, and later the US in North Africa and Italy. The model used was actually the m1928a1, which was essentially the same as the regular 28' but for military use. Late in the war, the m1928a1 model was being fazed out for the M1a1 and then the M3, but some users held onto their M1928a1's until the end of the war.

From '43 onward though, the M1A1 was far more prolific than the 1928. SOME users held on to their 1928s, not most.

I'd like to see an M1 Thompson, instead of the usual M1A1.

I might be mistaken, but isn't the only difference between the M1 and M1A1 is the floating firing pin?
