So I did some target practice now that I got the A1 rear sight and it's always shooting low. Has this happened to any of you guys, where it looks like you'r aiming on target then it's not? Maybe it's just me being to close to the target but I can't really do ranged field tests in the city...

That's weird, most people say theirs shoot too high. There might be a problem with the hop-up, check to see if it's installed right. When I used the internals of a JG Bar-10, the hop up was actually upside down when I took it apart.

Outstanding! Great attention to detail and lots of nice touches. I too am a fan of the a1 with the ladder sites. Did you get it firing as you had hoped?

Well, I really haven't been able to test it out since I live in the suburbs. But my friend is having a birthday party and I'm going as my AB impression and I can probably have him help make a video of it.

Possibly a little bit overboard! lol but still a good attempt.
If you want to make black or dark grey metal look weathered and chipped, use a technique called dry brushing.
Firstly, make sure you know how you will be handling your rifle, figure out how it gets rubbed when you cock it, run with it, aim it, and sling it over your shoulder. This way you know which way to run your brush.
Next dip a 1/2" to 3/4" brush in silver paint. Then dab or wipe off 90% of that paint on a paper towel or rag. You want to barely see any paint coming off on the paper towel before dry brushing. with most of the paint inside the brush instead of on the surface, when you run the brush on the metal, there will be highlights at corners and peaks, and barely anything on low areas and reccesses.
This way you will get a more even wear pattern and there will be no discernable paint stroke patterns on the gun. Start off with too little and add to the effect until you have the look you want. Hope this works for you!
