It's the Iron Airsoft model, the manufacturer is mentioned just before the review section.

The color of the wood looks cool, it's red like the dboys kar98k. And with 270 FPS... I wouldn't want to be on the business end of that thing.

A bolt action rifle in my opinion needs to be well over 400 fps with 20 gram to be worth the downside of the slow rate of fire. To be skirmishable at all i would say the high 300 's. That's just my opinion of course but since the Enfields main market is the UK they probably felt they needed to be sure an not exceed the jouelles restrictions over there.
The SMLEs I built all shot at around 465 and I know many of the customers boosted them from there. The challenge of course is they are all spring powered and I wanted to be sure the cocking effort wasnt too great as would be the case with a stronger spring.
With a gas gun the cocking effort remains constant but the more powerful guns use gas up more quickly.

well you gotta figure, if it was a TM nobody would be complaining, besides, the manufacturer is from Japan so that's pry why

Even if it was a TM everyone would be complaining... for that much money, it should be alteast skirmishable

It also depends on if you're using propane(Greengas) or HFC.

HFC22 is green gas, and HFC134a is duster gas. Both are propane, and HFC22 is the more powerful one (but the other is harder to find)

Much more like it! It also reinforces what an earlier video report had indicated. As Savoy 6 indicated green gas is unscented propane (essentially) and duster gas is a refrigerant without the ozone depleting contents of freon. (Propane is also a refrigerant as is CO2) Any gas reacts differently depending on its density and outside temperature. For this reason any gas guns effectiveness is going to vary greatly from first shot to last and from Summer to Winter. For that reason I still prefer a spring powered bolt action rifle. I built a lot of SMLEs using extreme modifications of the BAR 10 base gun stocks. They came out okay but dont look anywhere near as nice as this rlica. I recently built a marriage between a DENIX replica SMLE and an upgraded BAR 10 and this one looks virtually identical to this offering. It is spring powered of course and shoots at 462 to 468 FPS with 20 gram although I use .28s in it which seem to stay truer and go further albeit a bit slower (initially). Because actual SMLEs are typically 70 to 100 plus years old its hard to relate to what the gun looked like when new and seeing an actual SMLE that would look this good would make it a museum piece. Hence I artificially aged mine a bit which is the first thing I would do with one of these.

Im not so sure the stock stain is all that much off from what many of the weapons looked like when new. As with all rifles a variety of hardwoods were used and a wide assortment of stains. What we see with regard to actual SMLEs are often nearly a century old and in many cases actual 100 years old plus. it is true howere that many many Enfields were a lighter wood and stain than the pseudo walnut stain used for this replica but many of the old photos taken back in the day show the darker finish as well.

I dunno, I kinda like the red-brown stock. I would personally do something really dark brown, but the color they picked isn't bad.
So many WWII guns coming out, it just makes me so happy.

Shame it's gas. Basically useless most of the year here in the UK... And with the usual USD = GBP price conversion, Shoot n Scoot springers are still a viable option.

Springer powered (non shell ejecting), bolt action, rifles are infinitly more skirmishable than gas and like so many of us, I wish that is what the manufacturers decided to pursue but beggars can't be choosers and I am just thrilled to see new offerings of WW 2 weapons.

what do you mean by "If it's real" What? It exists, it's a gas powered mk3 enfield airsoft rifle. It is not a firearm and does not shoot .303
Define real

I think Ken simply is hoping to see a number of first hand owners reviews that will reinforce that it works reliably and is skirmishable. It's the kind of rifle everyone says we need and then few people buy. All of these gas bolt action main battle rifles show promise and hopefully the the reports when they do start filtering out will be positive.

That is a puzzle to me as well. Their assumption that we like shell ejecting is also confusing although I don't live in a country where guns are illegal so perhaps that aspect is less important to me.

I never thought of it that way. I can only hope in the future them other countries can open up and stop fearing their law abiding citizens.
in any case, maybe we "The people pf this forum" can make a outspoken and easily seen point that we the reenacting community want spring non shell ejecting bolt action rifles.
we should draw up a form stating this and having our members sign it send it to the major airsoft dealers, in hopes that they can relay this to the companies.

I like that idea. Don't know how much it will accomplish, but I like it. Can we ask for an AEG Carbine while we're at it?
