Yup! thats original! I'm no expert on M1 helmets, but that looks to be a genuine high-pressure liner. Hard to make out some of the markings, but if you look inside the crown of the helmet, you should see a manufacturer's stamp. That, I believe will tell the manufacturer as well as the date of manufacter. Nice find!

I can see a DSA stamp on the sweatband, so the sweatband is possibly Vietnam era. But the rest of the liner is probably WWII as far as I can tell.
EDIT: The sweatband appears to be '69 dated.

I had bought a Chinese made reproduction a few years back that came with a liner and once I started getting into this stuff I realized how crappy it was. So I found this liner and was going to overhaul the steel pot.. But I found out the steel pot was a different shape and the liner didn't fit it well. So now I'm not sure what to do
