I own a KA M7A1 GBBR (WA System) a few years back. Still works fine. The KA mags ended up lasting longer than the ProWin mags and were half the price.
Hoping that the same quality goes into their M1A1. Problems with Marushin is the generally poor quality metal they make parts of. If KA clones the Marushin Carbine and makes the internals of better quality metal it should hold up well.

That would be fabulous. I really liked the gun right up until it broke!

2nd Bat, I can't say I was thrilled to hear about the demise of your Marushin Carbine. However, there have been several times where I was very close to clicking the buy button for one of those. The urge went away for good when I read that yours broke.
I own 3 Marushin wwii guns. The SI Garand is the best of the 3 as it still functions. My M1 "bolt action" Carbine one has an eroding bolt carrier and my M2 busted a nut on its first burst on full auto on day 1 of ownership. No need to get snake bitten a 4th time.

One persons experience is not enough always to go on. I have had amazingly good experience with my ICS Garand but am sorry to hear others have not been so fortunate. with Marushin my experiences have been consistently bad so I am avoiding them (and gas rifles in particular) like they are toxic.

Saw this on Kingarms Facebook this morning! No real pricing details or release date, but plenty of gun function footage. youtu.be/gL85O_jkGDM

Wow so cool (when they work). Definitely impressive but...."IF" they are priced reasonably AND people have positive reports about functionality and durability I will be all over them. As my father used to say. "IF the pilgrims had shot a skunk instead of a turkey, Thanksgiving never would have happened."

Is there a way to disable the blowback? If it's made out of pot metal like the Marushin it might be easier to disable it and maybe use it single shot. By disable it I mean modifying it of course, there's not going to be a switch turning blowback off (but that'd be cool).

If you're going to do that just go with the CYMA springers at under $50.00 and available right now.

Why do they always add the baoynet lug and the later style sight?

That is a pity, but they go by what they typically see and since most carbines were "upgraded" with the bayonet lug and late war sight to them it is most representative of a carbine. You would think given the cost of tooling, design and ramp up to build they would do a bit more research. In the case of KA they are obviously doing some reverse engineering and clone work.
If they an get the cost down and improve the materials used (especially in the charging handle, bolt and moving parts) i will happily live with the visual infidelities not authentic to WW2 (except at the very end of the war)
