"My weapon of choice for image aging shenanigans is Photoshop."
Mine too- but I am not familiar with that photo frame- the period 'cut' edges- I already do the sepia tone etc, but the picture frame is what I'm after.
Thanks!

Guinness
Found the photo frame on one of the user posted images while browsing through either the "Show us You" or the "Show us your reenactment photos!" threads over on the Axis History forums. Once in Photoshop I used transform/scale to get it down to the right size needed for my pic. Nothing fancy.

Silencer, may I save you some time and suggest you don't go out an' buy it. I've been using mine exensively for a season an' it really is not on par with the weapons you will have trained on you. They are awesome display guns and very accurate, but that is where it really ends. PM me if you have some further questions Had, awesome to see a AH member on here. Yeah, I've posted a few pictures on there, an' a few random posts, just not the vid Awesome impression you have goin' so far as well.

The music is Ohne Dich by Rammstein. One of my favourites. We used Windows Movie Maker. It usually comes with XP an' worked better then I thought it would (I am a big Adobe Premiere fan).

Yep thats me. lol no really here I am. I am the one with the field cap and the 98k. This was at blackfox. The other one is one of my friends. Those are swiss coats you authenticity geeks can judge whether they are acurate to the late war ones or not.

Bend the bill and slant your cap to the right, an' that boy on the other side sure needs to get his overcoat tailored, lol. He looks like a rendition of the ol' Bugs Bunny Goes to war Maybe tighten the helmet The swiss ones will pass, eventually you might want to consider dying them the right shade though, it's pretty simple, an' looks good. You guys have a good start, just remember the things I say are not flames, just me givin' you a bit of knowledge to help you in your quest. Take care.

Quick question, is that the star of David in the background...I'm asking because if your family is Jewish, you are one very persuasive child. Do not take this as racism or the like, just me bein' curious about what your family thinks of your impression, if indeed it turns out that your family is Jewish. Of cource I could be completely ignorant about all religions an' that is just a simple wall hanging with a symbol that is not just Jewish.

Oh, lol. All of my pictures have had some quite weird things in the background. We have jewish blood, but do not follow the religion. Also, my mother loves thrift stores . They want me to pursue it, they always stand behind me when there is something I want to follow. Like i said, we aren't religious, but we have some jewish blood.

Ah, gotcha. I know my mom worried like crap when they found out that I fell in love with what they tried to protect me from for all these years. Guns. Now she has taken a active roll, and helped alot when I tried to join the forces (Not a long story, was refused entry on the basis of my hearing. Apparently it wasn't good enough).
It's good to have them on your side.

In Response to the earlier posts regarding SS Volunteer units.
don't forget the 5th SS "Wiking" division. they were one of the most feared units on the eastern front. They killed ALLOT of commies. One Russian commander expressed extreme relief when the 5th SS was pulled off the line for refit.
And 5th SS was a foreign Volunteer unit. 6th SS Mountain "NORD" had allot of Finnish Volunteers in it as well, And That unit also did very well.
Other foreign Volunteer units didn't do so hot. Such as the 12th SS "Handsharr" which did quite poorly. They may have Fought, they just didn't fight very well.

Handsharr, uh, Croatian? I could see why.
Anywho, eh, yeah. I like Volkssturm Impressions, 'cause it's easy, thrifty, and you have an excuse to look like a ball of crap.

Yes, the eastern europeans in the SS were not looked upon as peers by the "true germanic people". I don't know much about their actual fighting ability, but would imagine that it was not very good, as most of them were enlisted, in a very late stage of the war, and thus recived a lot less training than the old troopers. Guest> If you are still around, i would like some documentation of your numbers of foreign troopers in the ss. 1:10 sounds a little far fetched in my book. but then again, so does 1.000.000 in the ss

Greeks fought in the SS. A few did anyhow. And then the greek sacred regiment was reactivated after something like 500 years of not being around. (all officer raiding party around 120 guys) They were controled by the british! and then fought our greek wanna be SS brothers. Sorry, just had to add my part of history.
