There are such things as miracles. Something told me this was going to be a good year for WWII airsoft

Nice - looks like a clone of my/Shoei's '42. Certainly will be cheaper - though not as well made and not steel construction I'd wager:) Weird that this would surface on a Polish retailer's website. ....

I ask you... who would ever think to make a tanker Garand?

The tanker Garand, or T26, wouldn't be authentic, but it would probably be pretty fun in a game. It's kind of a pity they were never fielded.
For those who don't know the story, there were at least two efforts to produce a short M1, neither of which had anything to do with tanks. The first was by Springfield Armory, to produce a handier weapons for paratroopers. The second was by 6th Army in the Philippines, and possibly also in Australia, to produce a handier weapon for jungle warfare. The horrendous muzzle flash and report doomed both efforts.

I never liked the looks of the Garand "tanker" and refused to do any of my conversions as a T26. It certainly is simple enough to do. Just shorten the barrel and attach a dramatically shorter upper handguard. I had several customers modify theirs after the fact. Two of them had young sons who played airsoft and simply couldn't field a full length Garand. The "Tanker" designation was in no way official and as mentioned it was never actually fielded. It was an attempt to sell rifles to the civilian hunting market after the war. A reasonably priced but well made german MG would be an awesome addition to our available arms room. As would an AEG Carbine (especially a WW2 version)

Are you sure the Garand is an ACM gun? The stock profile looks EXACTLY like a Marushin stock.

I think he is saying it's ASG so it may be plastic stock, idk. The mg42 i know is from gunfire.pl/I saw it on their facebook so yeah, the other guns may be from there as well but i don't see 'em as of yet I take that back, www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.566191533419616.1073741919.120305174674923&type=3The desc on the pic(Of all 3) says: "[EN ] We just returned from China / HK / Korea / Japan, where we, for several weeks, visiting the factory and met with the producers of ASG replicas. We want to share with you interesting facts that we managed to get it. Today: GARAND M1 ACM - available autumn 2013."

Those Garands look suspiciously like Marushin clones.

They do look like plastic, and I don't think any company would make a Marushin clone anyways

100 built, and 2 years of development? Gotta be a pretty hefty pricetag!

I would guess that only the "special edition" with three mags, two mag pouches, sling, and crate will be limited to 100 pieces, and will be followed by a "regular edition" release later, without the extras. SRC did something similar with their TT-33 when it was released, the first edition pistols were individually serialized and included a repro medal. SRC later did a full release of a cheaper version without the extras.

I should hope they do that but I may have to save up for that limited edition, it seems pretty neat.
