Here I am in kraut outfit and all! I am placing an order with zak for some other things at the moment but here I am right now. I photoshopped the the ribbon, the buckle, and the eagle just because I wasn't wearing them in that picture.

I'm not so sure about going that far. I wouldn't like representing Hitler Youth after this book I am reading about them. It's kind of scary what they did to the kids and what happened when the kids got out of the war.

Well, its not like you believe what they did, your just playing the part for historical sake
And judging from your pic, Hitler youth you go perfect for you till you are older.

Yeah, HJ would be prefect! I would go for some ankle boots and gaitors for that uniform. Also, you need to get it much more dirty and used

Erm, why is everyone only doing the "important" or "famous" units. And where'd the Gold Wound Medal come from?

Hehe Polak, you've seen enough 101st, Ranger, etc fads spring up from the movies an' all that. No one wants to go to sites like these to find a common unit or even research where their units fought. I've seen too many famous units fighting in 'theatres of war' that they never served in. www.feldgrau.com/ <--Good one for the Germans out there. (Example of what is available: www.feldgrau.com/InfDiv1b.php)Btw, anyone ever notice that there were only 1 million Waffen SS troops, but there was over 13 million Heer troops? Lovely ratio when looking at the ammount of people with SS impressions

Thanks for all the support and compliments, that is what keep people interested and motivated to keep going for that great impression. Yea I am going for a sanitäter too, so I would be a HJ 12th SS Sanitäter.

The SS, by some comparison, could be something like a uniformed Secret Service, or more of a Special "Standard" Guard. The Flagship of the Third Reich, more or less.

honestly for trying the kit on, and having fun in the back yard, medals are fine,
Black wound badge was very common, so no one is going to bother u about it.
But ill warn you , in actual airsoft skirmishes, its easy to loose medals out in the woods. -Gordak

I just have to add that, the youngest american to serve was a 12 year old boy in the Navy and got dishonerable discharge when he was injured in ww2 and found that his papers were fake! Your picture reminded me of the guys that faked the papers. Heh.

How the hell was it not obvious the boy joining the navy was 12? You know, what about the strict rules that we are pretty much only letting people 16 and up join? Of course, I am trying to get a WWII Airsoft thing going in a whole new state, and have been stuck with the problem of thinking I cant join the association!!! Hell, I am sitting on dozens of uniforms here, most from later or eariler years, but at least a dozen for WWII, and I thought I couldnt Join? But can I at 13? I mean, I am currently in the process of getting together 3 units, one German, One British, and One American (with the German including the Handschar Division) for games on a ok sized field, and I could join the association all this time? Of course, although I would mostly do my beloved British Impression (I have like 2 BDU's, 2 Berets, 1 Pith Helmet for the Tropics, and all of the web gear) and not Germans, but if I did I would do Jager's and Not HJ (And since this is florida wearing a pullover shirt for comfort). Sorry to rant, but basically, can people this young (like me) join?

That is absolutely not true. You should read the rules first and learn a little more about this organization before you join up. I am 13, and I have no troubles. There was no need to rant about anything, you just should have asked questions first.

well you have to do it right, Realize if you put on SS runes, but don't look 100% like an SS trooper from ww2, you end up looking like a skin head. Thats why here at WW2aa, we look 100% the part. Mauser looks good, he does his research and he is happy to take suggestions and friendly critisism. If you can hack that you can be involved South Carolina Airsoft Association has nothing to do with this board so please don't take applesauce s at them here. -Gordak

In my eyes, you gotta kick them to the curb and tell them to grow up. Hey, people are willing to dress as terrorists, and nobody terrorizes them for it.*no pun intended* So tell them to back off and do your own thing. And you know what, just take it slowly and do games with just your guys and nobody else. Then when ww2 airsoft becomes more popular you can try to scooch in a little bit. Then the next option is to try to make ww2 airsoft games where you will be respected, not harassed.

just so you all know, Mauser's hat is 100% wrong and would not be allowed at a ww2aa game. Pea dot hats did not exist in ww2.
Hans I warned you. and posting a racist neo Nazi site on the board, even as an example, means your banned. Skin heads are total pices of sh!t who are too dumb to realize they would be the first to go to the camps if they lived in Nazi Germany.

Gordack,
Thank you for the reminder and insistance that links to any neo nazi, racist organization or political site of any kind for that matter is inappropriate to this gathering. We are a history focused group and must take dilligent steps to be sure that's clear to anyone who visits here. Also digs at groups or individuals is not what we're all about.
Constructive tips and suggestions of course but digs are not welcome here. Thanks again.
