Apologies if I'm incorrect - but I believe it is still a pre-order status. Moreover, the 'due to arrive' date is NOW October (it was 'due' to arrive in September last time I looked. Evike strikes again with the ever changing arrival date stuff. Sorry, but I just think that they've done this in the past, i.e. take the cash before a product actually arrives and then let their 'valued customers' sweat it out while due dates are changed (and, in some cases, the adverted product never arrives).
I've got two Shoei MG42s, the second arrived recently with the new high speed gbb engine installed and a HS kit waiting to be dropped into my first one, so I will be interested in seeing how the 'auto wind drum' functions if/when this item arrives.

Oops, must of failed to read the entire title of the evike listing. Although evike did have an actual gun to make the video with, so that could be a good sign.

We are now into November. Anything change yet on the availability status of this offering? By christmas would sure be nice but again my breath is not being held.

Next, to maintain parity, we need a Browning M1919A4, perhaps with a kit to convert it to an A6 for the Airborne.

In an effort to not get ahead of myself I wasn't going to make that statement until this one actually came out but Volks I agree with you completely.

Well we still need lmg's for all the main powers so, mg34/42, dp28, type96/99, and a 1919. These things just take time, we must wait and heck, i know you, 2nd bat, have been waiting a long time to see such an explosion of ww2 airsoft products in the last 2 or so years.

Indeed. When I first came on board the Thompson was it along with $1200.00 plus customs from JAC , Shoei and others or custom home builds. It so cool to no longer have to accept burlap wrapped AK 47s.

The EVIKE Site now shows a December ESTIMATED time of arrival. This is looking more and more like the MATRIX BAR...EVIKE deal from a couple years ago but as you all know although MATRIX never came through with their promised BAR, the OHIO Arms / ECHO BAR eventually hit our shores and have been both wonderful and affordable. No doubt these were a rebranding of the BAR.
I am anxious for it to come out but am confidence this Kraut MG will in fact become available. it will be an awesome augmentation to the current WW2 selection.

i had a deposit with EVIKE for over six months on a pre ordered BAR they guessed was imminent. No doubt not their fault but it soured me on pre-orders and ETA really DOES mean ESTIMATED TIME OF DELIVERY.

Sorry for the vitriol, but on the subject of Evike and it's habit of pre-order shenanigans: Evike knows better and also knows how to use it's customer base to raise quick cash and/or year-end capital for company benefit. By the term 'use', I mean that in every negative context of that word. IMHO it says a LOT about how Evike truly views/manipulates it's customer base and/or readily engages in less-than-ethical behavior at the expense of their clients. I'm pretty damn certain the princpals at Evike laugh all the way to their bank with the accumulated months-end receipts from their manufactured 'pre-order' game. The owners know damn well what they are doing, and been waaay too long in the game not to be completely aware of the fact that Chinese AS manufacturers, distributing entities, et al., are willfully and notoriously less than accurate in projecting valid release dates for product. And Evike, fully aware of the fact that firm release dates provided them are w/o merit, bank on the demand for a desired product (in this case the MG34); the last time Evike ran the game - a LOT of folks ordered and waited months listening to Evike's 'updates' only to end up having to hassle to get their monies returned. Quite predatory frankly and Evike seems quite prepared to screw the airsofting community again for it's own financial gain w/o losing the slightest bit of sleep over the dirty deed. Truthfully - I'd love to be proven wrong here, and I honestly hope that I am. But I've a feeling I won't be. Sorry, but I followed Evike's last performance with great interest and what I came away with had me shaking my head at how low that company is prepared to sink in chasing a buck.

what mg34?Yeah they can make quick money but they know as much as we do. I'll be darned if a private business is trying to make money, shame on them giving out pre-orders w/o much validation. Now maybe they know that it won't come out in the next month, in that case they should move it to a more approximate position but if they don't have a real date then they are going to keep pushing it back in hopes of actually getting the product while keeping the public happy and giving them something to hope for in a short amount of time.

Once I got totally impatient and lost hope I asked for my money back and got a quick refund. Prior to the refund I was offered a store credit to buy what I wanted which didn't interest me in the least BUT I know a lot of EVIKE customers waiting on the BAR in fact used the store credit. I had too bad of a taste in my mouth to spend any funds there.
If a pre order was a substantial discount over what the products would eventually come down to, AND you clearly understood that the pre order expected delivery is an ESTIMATED date I would find them enticing. Always nice to be the first kid on the block but there are downsides. Often times initial shipments have teething problems and later orders have refinements from lessons learned. Often the initial offering price is way up from what the product settles in at.
For this MG it is too vaporware at this point for me to take it very seriously yet but it is so vital to our hobby that it is impossible not take an interest in it. hopefully it will finally be out under numerous brands and will be functionlly sound and affordable.

Well it's hard to call a working prtotype or display vaporware it's just a matter of them getting shipped out but yeah, the a&k pkm came out at 500 now it seems to be on special deals for 360-380 or so. I am just hoping they sell extra drums soon after the release

The Chinese Airsoft world is very politically charged and these businesses are extremely subject to factors and infuences that cause a product even well along in it's development to simply disappear and never come out. I have been monitoring this marketplace for many many years and some of the turns and twists are mysterious and puzzling.

Or just offer a generic m1919 with the tripod, and then offer kits to get the various different models!

The parts turning a M1919 into its assorted variants could be easy attachments. Bipod, rear stock, flash hider along with spade grips a base M1919 could easily be quite adaptable. Incidently the flash hider apparently was post war but between you and me I love the way it looks! The stock was available in wood, plastic and metal and simply locks in around the pistol grip neck with a wing nut deal.
