Quite a lovely piece of work, how long did it take you to make this? It must have been hell to make that tripod.
Also, what color spray paint did you use? it has a nice blue/black sheen to it.

Hi I've a global tutorial to expose my work but it is in french. May be pics are enough to understand how it is made. As it doesn't look like, all parts are in PVC painted in matt black.
It takes 12 days to think about, draw and realise the functionnal machine gun by it is not finish. I've to complete details as sight, trigger, ammobox.
It works on M249 GB and hopup, and a high cap mag.
The tripod is hard to draw but easy to realize.
Do you think i can place pics here with only few commentaries ?

Wonderful detail work. Very very cool project. Airsoft Manufacturers are you taking notes? we need an affordable version of this gun for our arsenals! I have built several of these. They are a lot of work and this one is much much nicer then my home builts.

Your project and all the details shared is about as good an introduction as you can have but by all means tell us about yourself.

Fabulous. The M249 gearbox is a great choice for these projects as they are robust and sized and shaped appropriately. I made virtually all of my .30 Cals using the M14 gearbox which works fine but really wasn't intended to function as a full on support weapons gear box. I am especially impressed with your fabricated adaptation for the introduction of BBs.
Tell us more about your magazine? did you use an available box feeder system or create your own? I have found the feed systems with virtually all customs are the most challenging part and usually the most problematic.

Thanks. The ammobox is a adaptation of M249 one. It's easy to modificate and realy effective. You just have to remove the sound controle which is bad. Here are the missing parts of making of : The bottom plate The rear sight (it is not enough large, i think i will remake it latter). The sight is the same as the BAR, so i will try to buy it The ammobox mecanism (from M249) I had just make a PVC box with is put in the .30 original box Finally, i made the top in transparent PC for watching the BBs consumption. I haven't take pics of the trigger but the aim is to activate two commutators, one for the gearbox and one for the ammo.

This is time to get out the Laby and give her a new dress !! Cal.30 1917 version Some modifications must be made for more reality. The front sight, a bit large but I will can change it in futur. I never put the screw of base plate which. That is done.

That's a pretty simple idea, make 2 machine guns out of 1. Very cool

Yes the body is really similar just the sights and outer barrel are different

Finally, I decide to make the rear sight. This is a free interpretation of the real one. The système is fixed by 2 screws and it is remmovable for the 1919 version. I just made pics before the paint job.
