I'm sorry that the gun turned out the way it did for you CDI! I have a friend who purchased the spring sniper version and he was happy with it the last time I talked to him. He said it was a very solid build, and it was shooting good out of the box. Though he did say he had some mag issues initially, he said it was more or less just getting used to how the mag worked. I wonder if the rifle you got was a lemon, or perhaps my friend got really lucky in his purchase. If it wasn't for the excessive $40 charge, I would say it would be definitely worth sending in.

You would think that if you recieved the gun in a broken condition, the company would have the intelligents to offer free replacement, after all, they are the ones that sold someone a broken gun

Aren't they supposed to test fire the suckers?

I'm pretty sure ASGI says they test fire guns before they are shipped to make sure they are in working condition. I guess they're liars
Glad to hear that your getting it replaced for free CDI

It was the first gun I ever got from them that has not come with a chrono slip. Be it a $20 spring pistol or a $400 aeg it has come with a test paper. I'm hoping to have the new one back by next Saturday so I can use it in a game..... However I'm feeling to optimistic on that.

Well I got a replacement gun in from ASGI today. With .34's the range is about 50 feet. With .28's the range is not much better with .25 it is skirmishable. The feeding system is horrible. I get about 9 shots per load and wind. Scope adjusts very easily. Will be using it in the next few weeks so I will post some game footage when that comes around (wont be ww2 play but will be good to see how the rifle functions)

sad and surprised to hear the performance is so nominal but glad they replaced it for you. In their defense I have shipped guns that I test fired and worked great when I boxed them up only to have folks I trust tell me they didn't when they arrived. 98% of them are fine but the 2% makes you crazy. (on both ends of the sale).
Thanks for sharing your experience and the pictures. the rifle looks great. i hope it all works out for you and you find it functional and durable.

I figured I would post an Update.
Well the second gun's trigger sear broke after less than 30 shots. Sent it back to ASGI and was told they would send one more gun. They did send me one more gun, however the gun arrived broken. I have given up on the red fire nagant. It is the biggest pieces of crap and biggest waste of airsoft money to date. It is "vsr bar 10 compat" though those claims seems to have been proven false. I may be able to squeeze a bigger spring in and change out the hop up bucking. The magazine needs a complete rework. Who ever designed it at Red fire (or what ever company they ripped it off from) needs a smack across the face and I kinda hope cats eat his face after he dies.
I will add that the Second rifle's brass flashing pieces also fell off after letting it lean on a wall. Yup that's right gravity will ruin this gun. I will also add gun number three was missing a piece of brass Flashing. (however I kept the pieces that fell off on the second one because I knew better from the first gun that arrived missing pieces).
I would rate this gun as a 1/10. Don't waste your time or money. Avoid this like the black plague.

Whoa! The Marushin M1 has a companion. Such a shame. Companies will probably not produce any more cheap WWII airsoft replicas, thinking it is low demand which really really sucks. Is the gas version any better?

I owned the gas version, broke fairly quickly after getting it. It shot fairly good while it still worked, like cdi said, magazine system is probably the ultimate downfall for me. Currently having the broken rifle scrapped into a VSR10 springer

Yeah, at least the Marushin is realistic and lasts longer than 30 shots.
