If so, no worries, HITLER, on paper shows you as a full division.

WASH OUT I'm starting to think we are just jinxed here in the North East. Woke up at 5:30am and drove over 2hrs to GZA only to have it rain when we were 20 minutes out. Weather reports only called for 20% chance of rain and guess what? Yup, it rained. It also rained hard enough to scare away most of the anticipated players. When we arrived, Mark (Knight52) and Nate (Brownien) were there already to go. There was about 6 other regular players and that's it. Mud and puddles everywhere. We all chatted a bit, checked out the field improvements (more on that later) and then decided to go to the store nearby. At the store there was about 12 players milling around with nobody signing up to play. That's when we decided to pack it in. On the good side, we all decided to give it another go in about a month and go from there. Also, props to Nate and Mark for sticking out the rain and possibly playing. It just really upsets me that I could not display all the guns, props, flyers and video slide show I prepared for the day. I did give out some flyers to Nate and Mark to pass around, but it's not exactly what I was hoping for. As for the field, Lester has made some big improvements to the field. From what I was able to observe, The fire base area has been completely altered and definitely improved. They built a fence to go completely across the entrance to the fire base, separating the parking lot from the field of play with an adjacent gate for vehicle access. Also, there is a picnic/BBQ area with a field hut to provide some shelter. There is also a mobile home type cabin/office for administrative use. In addition, there are several new structures throughout the field and more sandbags in use. Props to Lester for keeping the field updated. This is only a set back and we will press on and get the word out there. Just not today. cheers, Migs

It was good to see everyone again, even if none of us ended up playing Looking forward to giving it another shot next month though Funny how 20% chance of rain meant constant downpour On the bright side, we ended up taking a few WWII airsoft pictures and made some videos

I, Nate, and Nate's friends stuck around for the rest of the game. About an hour after Migs left, things picked up, there were about 50 other modern players at the peak. Gaming was good, we all got a good deal of kills. I had a number of modern airsofters express interest in WW2 Airsoft, it sounded like a few of then wanted to at least attend an event at partisans. It wasn't as successful as I hoped, but it wasn't a total waste.

Good effort and contagion usually takes multiple exposures. Lester is good people and would love to see historical airsoft take off. (ww2 and Nam). Glad to hear he has put some effort into the field.

My main purpose was to expose all who were there to WW2 airsoft thru my slide show on my mac, flyers to hand out and a vast display of weaponry and gear. I was ready to stand there all day and answer questions and present demo's, etc. Very disappointing, but not giving up. I'll look at my schedule and we'll all come up with a mutual date for all. Feel free to offer up suggestive dates. See you guys again! Migs

Hopefully we can find a good date, I personally have reenactments the next two weekends, and another in November. Other than those three weekends I should be open, and hopefully we won't receive the same weather patterns

I will be up for another date! despite the rain, I really enjoyed the event. I kinda got used to being drenched and just trundled on. It did seem like everyone was signing up late, as there was a total of around 50 or so for the first engagement. It took me about an hour to get my bearings again, and I only got lost once after respawning; I ended up leading my squad through the swamp on our way to the town on a flanking manouver. I really enjoyed the larger numbers at the event, it really kept the action up and allowed for the CO's to defend and attack larger areas and multiple objectives. Pretty cool hearing fire erupting in the distance, followed by the sounds of far off commands being shouted.
I will surely bring the same two friends again, but when I can find out when my brother and our other friend is home from college, I could possibly bring out 4 others total
I am considering doing up a modern impression to take to some big modern events like the Lion Claws events, to fill the gaps when there arent any WW2 events. As much as I love WW2 airsoft, I wouldn't mind having some modern type games to attend durring the down time and go all tacti-kool! I would absolutely bring some flyers to pass out supporting WW2AA while I'm at it!

From our perspective, we went to the store and everyone was just milling around and not signing up. We then went to get a bite to eat and it was still raining pretty hard when we were done. We decided it didn't look good at that point, so we packed it in. Thanks for taking some of the flyers and keeping the ball rolling. We'll figure out a date to get this thing going and go from there. Also, when do you guys think we will attempt to go back to a large event? If there is one close to thanksgiving, or after the simester gets out for college, I can get more attendees

Thanks Knight! I managed to find myself at 1:58:00 ish. Pretty cool! As I am running down the road away from the camera, it actually captured one of my eliminations (I get up from prone and run away from the camera, stop and point my rifle and you can hear the HIT! shout! lolz!)
