It depends on how many times this old man has to pull over and pee and if I feel the need to catch some ZZs enroute! i will be driving from Sudbury, MA and will finish my workshop there around 4:30. With 248 miles to drive, do the math. Certainly no need to leave Nate early. My company originally gave me the weekend to get to Utica for my Monday workshop.

I'll give it a try, but I make no promises! I normally get out of work durring the week at 5, a bit too dark for photos. I can say that since the last event there, a lot of structures have gone up, not all the nicest in my opinion, but more none the less. There is a decent coating of snow on the ground still too

Snow on the ground will be nice for photo backdrops. Thanks before the fact for all the work you've done getting this event put together.

How many people will be bringing cameras? I really would like memories of this event set in silicon.

Hey guys, my names Alex. I joined the site a few years back, lost the password to my old account, and made a new one today. My friend Ethan Denmark took me to an event quite a few years back with a man, whos name i forgot, but he was with the ct museum of military history, and he helped with the orginization. I'd like to make it to this one (assuming I can finish all my uncompleted classes by saturday) but sadly I lack the proper equipment. I have a thompson, but my old ww2 clothing no longer fits at all (i put on a bit of weight :/) If i finish my classes, is there anyway i can roleplay either a drafted german civilian or french resistance ect? I have a friend who could come, but he suffers from the same issues that i have. Thanks!

I have a friend who could come, but he suffers from the same issues that i have. Thanks! Come on down! We have a good deal of US stuff that was generously loaned by 2nd Bat for this event, and I myself will be bringing enough spare gear/weapons for at least two, and realisitcally up to three German impressions (including some larger sizes). Only thing you should bring would be boots. I do have some German loaner boots, but whatever side you're on you're better off wearing something sensible and using leggings/Gamaschen (which I have). So please, just show up, both of you. Depending on what the relative force sizes are, and what fits you and your friend size-wise, I think it's pretty fair to say you can get set up as either US or German forces.

Welcome! You are in luck! I have plenty of loaner gear available to loan out to you and your friend! I can spare a weapon to your friend, as I will have backups in case a gun fails. The more the merrier!

where exactly is the event? and if i remember correctly there was a form i needed to fill out last time to join in. i believe it was an insurance waiver. and lastly, my girlfriend might wish to come, but act as a rear medic type position at the cp or such, if not this time then in future times.

We have plenty of loaner uniforms and gear. The event is at Lashes Paintball field in Johnstown, NY. The specifics are covered in the thread. Your girlfriend is certainly welcome as well. the fellow you met from the Museum goes by Gordak and he is the host of this website. We have a wide assortment of sizes and extra weapons. By all means, do come. Kickoff will be at 9:00 on saturday and the event continues on Sunday as well.

I will have the waivers available for everyone to fill out when they sign in. It shouldn't take any time at all to do.

How many grenade will be for sale at the event itself?

Sorry everyone for the late response, but I wont have explosive grenades available. With the costs for other necessities for the event, I just couldn't swing paying for that many grenades and shipping on top of all the other expenses. This is only my 2nd event I have hosted and I am still learning what all goes into it, especially with the goals I have set for the event! I plan on having another event in the spring, and by then, I will surely have a template for finances and expenses that I can easily work inside of to make as much as possible happen.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

If no one has a spare German gun, I do have an mp40 I'm not sure what I'm doing with, and I do have a "captured" BAR reserved for the German team

We will get hime something-- there is ample evidence of Germans using captured US weapons in the Ardennes, so that's a possibility too. But something German is pretty likely.

By tomorrow there should be a reasonably accurate weather forcast which might be helpful for everyone if they are coming from afar. The frigid weather seems to have abated for a while which means road access shouldn't be an issue. I was concerned there for a while for you Brownien as it would suck if you sponsored an event and no one could get to it.
Even with warmer temperatures the warming tent will be a nice touch.
