Horrible, Horrible news!
My son Dean has the Flu! He had a temp. of 103, took him to the Doc and they confirmed my fears. He is highly contagious and probably got the whole family infected. We were prescribed preventative meds and are hopeful it doesn't spread.
As of right now, it would be prudent that we all stay away and sit this one out. But I'm still holding out hope that things can change over the next 36 hours or so. Doctor says if he has no fever for 6 hours or more on Friday with no help from any meds, we could be out of the woods. Of course I have to monitor everyone else.
So, best estimate as of right now is our status is doubtful.
Hope to have better news soon.

Very sorry to hear that, more for you and your family than the impact on the event (but honestly for both!). I'll keep you all in my prayers and hope for the best that your group, in whole or in part, can make it, but remember that discretion is the better part of valor and getting healthy and not infecting others are the most important things.
Get your rest, and your liquids, and tell Dean to get well soon!

Thanks for the warm wishes guys. Dean is feeling today, but still not clear to go. My younger son Grant came home early from school and he's feeling run down but no fever. I'm ok, so it's still touch and go if anyone from my group will be coming.
If I do come, regardless of how I feel, I'll be sure to try and steer clear from everyone.

brownien, I only have 8mm though, and I won't be bringing my Garand. Can anyone spare some (I won't be using full auto). Really hope your son gets better, migs. The flu sucks!

Yup! I highly encourage anyone who is willing to dig to do so. Just so long as you don't try to dig to china, then I may have to charge you with desertion! Shifty, I do have a TON of 6mm .25g, so I could help you out no worries! I just didn't want everyone and their mother relying on BB's being available at the shop. I'm more than happy to help anyone out who runs out! |

Sadly we will not be coming. Both my boys are still feeling the effects of the flu and I'm not 100% as well. Instead of risking everyone's health at the event and needless to say my own, I'm gonna have to sit this one out.
We are sooooooooooooooo disappointed that we'll be missing this one. Since the 1st time I got into WW2 AirSoft, back in 2007, I have not missed one event here in the NE.
I wish you all the best and please enjoy yourselves. Take lots of pictures/video and I hope to see you all at the next one.
Just throwing it out there, let's try to do the next one in late March or April. Just try and avoid Easter break, I'm away in FLA (4/12 to 4/19) for that period.
But once again, please enjoy yourselves and know I'll be wishing all weekend that I was there with you guys.

When all the variables were weighed, I feel it was the right decision to stay away. I would want to go down in the history of WW2 AirSoft as the one who spread the flu thru half a dozen states. Actually that is a good question as unless I missed it all it said Was Lash's Paintball in Perth, NY. gathering at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 kick off. nodoubt one can google it but to put it in the nav it would be good to have the actual address.
Migs it's a shame to come all this way and NOT meet you but I certainly understand. Do you want me to leave some of the shortened mags for the carbines with Brownien? If so let me know how many and you can just pay him for them when he gets them to you. If you don't want any that's fine too just let me know.
I am eating right now at the Mass, NY Border so making good progress enroute.

Just to let everyone know, when you are looking for the field, keep an eye out for a large grey covered trailer with the field name on the sides "Lash's Paintball"
