Hi there from New Zealand, I have been involved in Airsoft in NZ since 2008 and currently run one of the clubs in our capital Wellington. I have done WW2 re-enactment at airshows and so on but have just started to do WW2 Airsoft. I currently re-enact the 22nd (motor) Battalion 2NZEF.

Welcome! You'll find this a very good place to ask any question or learn about things related to WW2 airsoft. There is a very supportive community going on here. How is WW2 airsoft doing in N.Z.?
Cheers,
Jer

Its slowly building, it tends to flow from those of us that get into re-enacting then decide to combine that with airsoft. I am currently working on a No4Mk1 Enfield and may look at a sten now Full Auto weapons are no longer illegal in N.Z. The biggest problem is those of us here are spread between the 2 Islands so getting together can be a bit hard as there is about 20 of us across the country. Hopefully we pull a decent game together this year!

Great to hear NZ relaxed the ban on full auto airsoft guns which always stuck me as quite silly. I sold a couple of M1 Garands which I had converted from M14 into NZ but had to insure that the selector switch was completely absent and all paperwork and owners manual ect. Clearly emphasized that they were exclusively semi auto. I also sold an Enfield SMLE to a customer there. Come to think of it I sold a 30 Cal there as well but with all the airsoft guts pulled out because of your previous ban.

law changed last year and we have probably bought out Asia's supply of M249's (C9) and M60 machine guns! There is a .30 cal running around in Auckland but was built buy a guy from up there. Also a few MG's of an Axis variety too which have snuck into the mix!
