The only problem is it will end up costing over $1000 to pay for that gas if you use it regularly

I wouldn't go that far! If you get an adapter, and use propane, it's only $3 per can. I've been getting tons upon tons of life out of a single can. I'd be comfortable estimating 2000-3000+ shots, especially without any blowback to suck up extra gas. So in reality, a single shot is $0.0003 really not that much in the span of a season!

Scott collins modified springer M1903 A1 which married and actual rifle with a bar 10 is more authentic looking, shoots hard and requires no gas. I saw it at Battle of the Bulge and it is gorgeous. I would love to see a side by side comparison in normal temperatures with a customized springer. Unless these come down a bit in price I don't see myself getting one With shipping and a couple spare mags I wonder what the at the field skirmishable price would be?

lol well if there making it not accurate it would be realistic, those carbines were equal to a m1911 just with a rifle stock.

The M1 and M2 Carbine are faaaar more accurate than the M1911/A1 with almost three times the muzzle velocity. Sure, it's a smaller round but the longer barrel makes up for that. The 1911 pistol is alot more reliable though. But if you were being sarcastic I apologize!

Relative to a main battle rifle the power if this WELL plastic gearbox AEG is probably about right. It is pretty anemic but like a real carbine would be more effective on the airsoft field then most pistols and less effective then most airsoft rifles. It is however a pretty lame replica. I spend a lot of time cosmetically doing what i could to improve its overall look. (filled the silly screw holes, removed the bayonet lug, replaced the rear site and treated the stock to make the fake wood look more convincing. I also reduced the length of the magazine a bit (although it remains too fat) The end result is a pretty hokey looking, weak shooter that is recognizably an M1 carbine that is semi automatic. Not an offering to get excited about. Still waiting for quality carbine AEG. This is skirmishable but.....just barely so.
