After reading this thread, I can only add one thing and it is, unfortunately, not closely related to the main point of this thread, but here goes......
I dont trust any Osprey book. I have found far too many mistakes in them - at least one mistake for every book I've held - and it was all simple easy stuff, like saying and showing the ranger diamond on the helmet in yellow instead of the correct orange - all I am saying is that a book with even one identifyable mistake probably has a few others that you cant identify. stay away from Osprey books.......

My main intentions for putting together uniform sets aren't primarily for reenacting, as there are no reenacting groups in my area. The closest are in St. Louis, and that is too far for me to drive for the events, since I am most busy with my job (I am a minister) on the weekends. I am involved with a volunteer theatre that occasionally does WW2 based productions, but when they do, they do not get anything authentic in the least bit. That's what started me going on my whole collecting kick. For myself, I would like to have a good reproduction, but money is very tight right now, and I also like to have avenues where I could acquire lower cost impressions that would pass at 20 feet away for all but the most astute studiers of WW2 uniforms. I myself have picked up an E. German uniform for the purposes that is passable, but it IMO is "too nice" for a field uniform and is off enough that I would like to get something closer.

Hi Jardows, Ben Bernard here. Tell ya' what; I have a brand new (and never worn) Sweedish Uniform set that consists of both the Tunic (size 44) and Trousers (size 34" waist). I'd be more that happy to sell it to ya' for $100.00. Let me know okay. PM me or somethin'.
