INTRODUCTION: Hello everyone. My name is Bruce Mayhugh of Montgomery, Illinois. I have been a British Guards reenactor since 1982. Our unit, the Coldstream Guards Living History Museum of Illinois, Aurora Barracks has been a member of the WWII Historical Reenactment Society (HRS), and the WWII Tactical Studies Group (TSG). Our Guards unit has been active in reenactment and activities as diversified as reenactment battles to assisting in funerary duties for British veterans that have passed away here. Our background in airsoft is as an off shoot of the museum. The Coldstream Guards Airsoft Team (CGAT) has existed since 2009. We are members of the CAA/Chicago Airsoft Association. I have been a board member of the HRS and the senior NCO at 3 WWII battles at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA for the combined allied side. I am 62 years of age with service in the US Army from 1969-1989.
I am a proud supporter of Midwest Airsoft Guerrillas, Legacy Airsoft Park, CAA, and the CGLHM. What prompted this current activity, is my recent purchase of the new Matrix No.1 Mk III Lee-Enfield (SMLE) Rifle. Except for its color (bright red), it is simply superb. All wood stock, which I plan to refinish, and all metal parts. Correct weight and feel. $210.00 from Evike. I already have a Browning HP35 which I use with my modern loadout. One of your members probably saw me at Military History Fest at the beginning of this month. My e-mail is pltldrmayhugh@gmail.com. My phone is 331-262-5857. I am on facebook and the Coldstream Guards Airsoft Team (CGAT) is as well. I and members of the Guards have a long history of reenactment, airsoft, and honorable play and conduct on the field. We would very much appreciate inclusion in your activities. If you have further information required please feel free to contact me. On facebook, on my page are 400+ photos of my reenactment world. Our unit owns an original M38 Jeep and trailer. And 2 pipers.
In service to their Majesties, your servant.
