Sounds pretty sound. Its a small planet this Earth,I will definitely do it someday.Anyway I had experience with fake wire.My Wal-Mart used to sell (not sure if they still do) fake wire.It had a rusted look and was made of strong thin rope.It came with a decent length (about 6 or 7 yards long). It is pretty cool and would recommend it on the field. One could think many ways to set these up in a battle ground.

This awesome field is in Norway, just 40 minutes away from the main international airport OSL (picking you up would never be a problem). Prices for planetickets to and from USA-Norway isn't that expensive. Both the scandinavian airlines SAS and Norwegian have flights several times a week too and from Newark airport, and are/have expanded to other cities like San Fransisco. And you could easily borrow an MP40 here - we got plenty! But further details are best done over PM or in another thread so we don't go off topic. My wife was a exchange student for a year in Norway and still can speak Norwegian enough to get by. She is still close to her host family and we plan on visiting them sometime in the next few years. Although I was interested in going for the back country skiing, doing a airsoft event while we are there would really top off the trip. I just sewed up 25 burlap sandbags last night on my sewing machine. Not too hard to do, just turn on a good documentary and sew away. I have a 300 ft roll of burlap to work off, should be able to get a few hundred out of it. I plan on using sawdust inside of a plastic bag liner to fill them. That will make them easy to transport and store. Aslo, I have been studying the various ways that camouflage netting was made. I have noted one technique were they used chicken wire rolls and wove brown and green burlap strips into it in spiral pattern. I have a large roll of 6 ft wide wire that I will use to make some to go with my implacements and camp. I have also hade my eye on eBay for fishing nets and jute garden net/trellis to make the other kinds.

A few hundred sandbags will give you a lot of fexibility in terms of quickly creating some cool looking fortifications especially if used in conjunction with some shallow holes. Your idea of sawdust in plastic bags inside your burlap is excellent. As long as you can place them and recover them between events they will prove quite durable. If you leave them in the elements (even with the plastic liners ) they will quickly rot away.
Camo netting is easy enough to do. Jute fishing net is what you want and assorted colored strips of burlap weaved in consentric squares is what you do allowing some to naturally hang or droop from the net. I was making a bunch of them in my back yard several years ago and my wife was mortified when her aunt came by to visit and she had to explain what i was doing in the back yard. Amazingly auntie rose got all excited and came out to help. It turns out that while she was interned in the Japanese American Camps she made camo netting. It was deja vue for her and i had expert help and heard some great stories.

Would be very cool if you could join one of our events
