I live in the southeast region of Ohio and I am wondering if there are plenty of Heer units to choose from.Plus is there any major WW2 events around the state I can participate?
Thank you!

I'd recommend finding a blankfire unit. There aren't very many airsoft units

I'm putting together my own unit. Get your friends that do modern airsoft and convert them to WWII.

If I can find friends that airsoft.Who knows, maybe there a regular group nearby that I can pitch in and put out the good word.I'm still going for my loadout.Regular reenactment groups are a bit more tough on what you can have and regular rifles and weaponry are a bit more expensive.

I'm showing up to public modern events in my WWII kit. It definitely attracts attention and people will like it and even be interested. Some may not like a German uniform, but I don't care to be honest.

I just like the uniforms and gear, they all look attractive when put together. The Allies had some nice gear but definitely not for looks.Basic U.S. infantry combat uniforms looks cool.I guess I can find an event that doesn't have a strict period setting that's more closer.

The cool thing about the Germans is you can wear an early war uniform and still be accurate for a late war event.

And luftwelle, the Michigan gang has been out this way for events before, and hopefully will be again. Maybe when that happens you can coordinate and hitch along to get out East. You would be most welcome I'm sure!

It's west Wisconsin though (I think) which makes for insane driving times.

It would be cool if there was an event solely in Ohio.
