Yeah I saw those. I have mixed feelings on it though. I love ATF's products but do we really need to make it even easier for 101 Farbs to be born (no offense to the actual members of the 101)?

I wouldn't bandy about the term "101 Farbs," but I share your sentiment that it's already too easy and tempting for those getting into the hobby on the Allied side to go Airborne. If you learned your history from airsoft fields, you'd think there were no landings in Normandy-- they just airdropped a quarter of a million guys into France. It would be great to see more regular US Army, even British forces, but I guess everyone wants to be "elite" (not realizing that when everyone is "elite," no one is "elite"). Still, can't blame ATF. They're just responding to market demands.

It'll get new people into our hobby though, who can later get infantry impressions (I'm gonna do 66th ID after I finish my paratrooper impression)

I agree with Shifty. It that helps open the door and attracts new players I'm all for it. In the whole world of WW2airsofters. i doubt we could fill a regiment and if you talk about regular field players probably not a battalion. Once the ranks spill out over the actual unts perhaps we'll have the luxury of insisting on more line doggies.

It would be great to see more regular US Army, even British forces, but I guess everyone wants to be "elite" (not realizing that when everyone is "elite," no one is "elite"). The problem with the lack of brits is the lack of brit weapons. Technically you could use thompsons or stens but even at that point, higher ranks used those as well as more advanced units too. I also feel like there is a lack of brit equipment but I haven't looked around that much. I thought about making a brit kit...I thought about making many different kits...Anyways...Here I am with IJA lol I feel like the biggest problems with kits is when there is a lack of weapons for the kit. It's nice to have uniform and gear but you look like a derp magee with proper kit and improper gun and most people care about that but sometimes you just need to suck it up and move on and use a stand in until a proper weapon becomes avalible. For me, that may be a while but I feel like the brits are gonna be getting weapons soon(2-4 years, don't ask why but I has a "gut" feeling =P and by 2-4 years I mean news not necessarily weapons actually coming out). 2-4 years with how ww2 weaponry tends to work it is actually soon in comparison haha. In comparison to how long we have had to wait for stuff, the g&g 1903 came out of no where at least imo. I believe I have gone on a big enough tangent lol I hope the point is made

From all the reports I have seen they appear to be made of poor quality, what about this second "new" enfield?

Brits used Tommy guns a lot too. Stens were more common, but they used tommys too.

I too notice that there is a TON of Airborne impressionists and let alone Waffen-SS.I really don't see why so many want to be elite. It'd be cheaper to just be a grunt

Not exactly... You're probably comparing a full airborne or SS kit to a basic grunt uniform. If you get a full grunt uniform it'll probably be about the same, save the gun. Also there are more people that do elite units so u have a higher likelyhood of finding and grouping up with people.

On my own defense, I've only ever seen ONE other ss guy at a ww2aa event that wasn't borrowing Mark's gear.

On my own defense, I've only ever seen ONE other ss guy at a ww2aa event that wasn't borrowing Mark's gear. It's funny, for all the loaner gear I have, it's the SS stuff that gets the most use. Not for any other reason than the tunic is a larger size and we've had a few guys in need of loaner stuff who that was the best fit for. Since my Swede pants got torn last time they were loaned out (I'm hoping they'll be repaired by the next action) I got a pair of larger size Dot44 pants, so in the future that impression will have its own dedicated trousers.

There's been affordable gear all this time before the echo m1942s. A summer m1941 and HBT pants. That's a basic infantry impression. And its just 10 dollars more. And if you add all the other gear up, an infantry impression is a little cheaper than an airborne. Usually the airborne helmet liners are 20-50 dollars more.
