Just throwing this out there but I put these paper Items together for a hobby so if anyone mostly American player would want me to make anything let me know. It would put my skills to the test. Plus It would be free since I didn't make the templates. Thanks

Dumb question and a reasonable question....
Is this an airsoft game? I read the part of blank firing and I guess I'm confused right now.
Not sure if the wife and I can make it (we just moved).
On that note, do you guys find it fine if my wife serves on the front lines as well? We've been airsofting together for awhile and not sure how this group feels about the whole "female infantry" thing or just "female player in historical scenario" especially it being highly anachronistic/out of place since this is the Western Front.
Thank you!
EDIT: Please no controversial/negative comments on the issue. My wife and I are both military and I'm teaching her the things I learned from being in the USMC infantry, so she is more than capable of being a player or "soldier" for a day or so.

It is both, I am not sure how strict they will be but if she makes an attempt to hide her "feminine" bits(Hair and ta-ta's) shouldn't be a big deal. Again, they might be fine with it and they might say no even if she can look exactly like a man. I'll let game admins answer to strictness but it is for sure both from how I understand it.

Well, if it means anything, she would wearing the uniform and gear properly, nothing crazy (like showing cleavage, we don't pull that bull crap), and her hair would be in a regulation bun under the helmet (by modern standards anyway).

Yes, it is an airsoft game with blankfire elements built in. It's up to Nate, ultimately, but I wouldn't have a problem with her fighting, provided she tucks her hair into her helmet, etc. BTW. Which side would you two be fighting on?

If we do make it, we would be both Americans.

I am completely fine with her fighting in a frontline role! Same standards as anyone else gender aside. Heck, I'm trying to get my gf interested in airsoft in general, but that's something completely different!
Indeed I will be adding some blankfire elements into the scenario. The majority will be airsoft combat, but the blankfire will definitely help with the ambiance and hopefully will stir up some more interest among some blankfire reenactors.
Glad to hear you are trying to make it!

Alright, sounds good!
That idea is very interesting and I like it! More airsoft fields/games need to incorporate that to get the blood flowing and the infantry mindset going.
Yup, if we can't there are always other games. Don't mean to derail the topic, but are other planned scenario games like this in the area? Preferably closer to Maryland, haha.

You should get her kitted out as a Flak-hilfer. That is an awesome impression that is rarely seen, and is one of the few ways a women could historically fit into a front line role.

Very obscure, but definitely legitimate... Google isn't being my friend at the moment so is there a uniform reference resource for the female Flakhelfer's? Maybe we can do this a later event.

Hey this is kind of a weird question but, I have a Korean War tent. It would fit two plus our gear. If my friend and I decide to come, will the tent be acceptable?

The loaner tents for the US side will all be modern green pup tents. Very close to ww2 issue, at least for our needs. A Korean War era pup tent will be perfectly fine!

It looks to be around 7-8 so far. That should be enough to put my resistance fighter plans into action.

Not so far unfortunately. Just a handful of maybes on here. To anyone who hasn't PM'd me to register yet, or if you are still considering whether or not to, still PM me with your impression and weapon info! By doing so you wont be required to pay the entry fee until the day of the event. If you do register ahead of time and later cannot attend, a simple PM will suffice. This will help me greatly logistically wise.

Brown, I suggest you go to the field with a few of your friends in WWII garb and maybe bring an extra German tunic to look at. It could raise interest and get new Germans

I actually did that recently! There are only a few guys locally that play airsoft, and most of them have already committed to attending.
UPDATE The roster on the Original post has been updated to reflect those who have signed up to attend. If you are reading this, and are thinking you may be able to attend, PM me! I am trying to get a final headcount soon, and I know some here have expressed interest on this thread about attending, but have not PM'ed me.

there may be slightly more Germans coming than have signed up We have two who are pending. And Raimund may be bringing a couple too, not confirmed. We have plenty of German uniforms and guns and can outfit players if need be to help even things up. Even with the numbers, Im still looking forward to getting out and playing airsoft.

Numbers are getting up there! So far, 19 Americans and 12 Germans. I'd like to see more Germans in attendance, but with 2-3 possible Mg42's and the germans mostly taking on a fluid defensive posture, having fewer defenders shouldnt be an issue! Really looking forward to this one!

Those are pretty strong numbers. Glad to see WW2AirSoft picking up again. Far better cry than the 10 or so we were getting for a while. I still have to work out some arrangements, but it looks like I'll be adding 3 to the American side.
Nate, I'll PM you this week with updates on my attendance. Right now it's looking good.

Hate to ask a stupid question...
Are there going to be loaner weapons or mags?
Hate to ask something like this, but I'm having some second thoughts about my low costing M1903A4 project.... But, my G43 (M14 base) is almost ready to be fielded, but can't guarantee even that. Even if so, I only have one M14 hi-cap mag.
What I'm looking at is a M1912 Trench Gun project (which should be finished), a Thompson that my wife will be using and a gas 1911.

There will be limiting of fire rates in place at the event. Full auto will be restricted to designated Smg gunners and LMG gunners. All others will be semi auto.
I have also considered letting anyone who has full auto Smg's to use that feature, but with the restriction of no hopup. They would still be effective around 100ft or so, but it would give the advantage to the bolt and semi riflemen at longer ranges.
I havnt decided on either method yet, but there will be something in place to prevent BB hosing. Dracul, I don't think I'll have any spare mags for a bar10/m1903a4, but I have a m1903a3 that's in the same boat. I only have one mag for it, but I will most likely issue it out with a speedloader to quickly top it off. Seeing as you have the scoped variant, I will most likely be giving you a good deal of recon work in between missions. Much more of an emphasis on observation rather than popping shots off. I do have plenty of midcap thompson mags on hand if your wife needs them! I can loan out my pack of 6, 30rd length.
