I used to run FJR6 doing both blank and airsoft here in the northwest for ten years. I spent a whole bunch of years in Iraq and without me around the unit fell apart. A few guys I used to turn out with and I have been talking about getting going again. We've decided on US Paratrooper. There are strong German units in the NW but for some reason not so strong US units and especially no Airborne units that have ever grown large or stayed around. So if you're interested visit us here: www.facebook.com/groups/688672811198767/?fref=nfThanks Greg

Greg,
I travel a lot but I have tons of period airsoft stuff that could support your efforts with a local WW2 airsoft event. I have a couple dozen airsoft guns and lots of props and loaner uniforms etc.

Right now we aren't doing Airsoft , just blank fire. I'm not sure who we'd fight :-)
As it stands the blank fire German units are huge, with armored cars , etc
I would be interested in discussing support equipment , etc
We will be doing a training event in August maybe you'd like to come out :-)

For those that haven't done blank fore it's pretty incredible. The work that hundreds of guys put into their impressions, camps, vehicles, etc is amazing.
Yes it has down sides, you don't get to actually hit anyone or get hit yourself but the upsides are worth it.
If you did Jump To Destiny you got a taste of how good it can be.
Our current unit is already turning out more then twenty guys and will probably turn out forty by December.
Lots of real veterans , real paratroopers, guys that have gone to ADT and learned to jump WWII style, etc.
Last event the Americans had a Stuart tank and two hellcats against the Germans who had a PZIII and two 222 armored cars.
Plus about 75 on 75 for men.
