Came across this today. "Fury" or "How Brad Pitt Won the War." Set in the last days of WWII. Could be good, could be Hollyweird. From the trailer it looks like the costuming and vehicles might be good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OGvZoIrXpg

I like the idea of a tank movie, I just can't stand Brad Pitt's hair.

I like the idea of a tank movie, I just can't stand Brad Pitt's hair. Well, it's better than it was. You know what would be a really good subject for a movie for a producer with a truckload of money? The Battle of Kursk. Talk about the ultimate tank battle movie. Unfortunately, unless they could come up with a way to put an American angle on it, it wouldn't sell to American audiences.

I know it's been done before( Das Boot, U571) but a battle of the Atlantic movie that tells how close the Germans were during Operation Drum Beat would really surprise most American audiences. They were sinking ships within sight of our shore and mining the Chesapeake Bay. The Wolf packs were hunting and sinking a incredible amount of our merchant ships with over 3000 sailors lost even as we were just getting ready to go to war. I guess I would like another sub hunt flick, although it would be very hard to out do Das Boot.

The Battle of Itter would make a very interesting movie. This is actually on my list of projects. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk I thought that was what you were going to do with that castle! As soon as you said in your other post that you're making a short film with a castle I thought "Sounds like that one battle where those Heer troops fought with the Americans and Frenchman against the Waffen-SS".I definitely am ready to see your new film!

No, at the moment I am planning on shooting a film in the woods around August. My castle statement was a side note. That film won't be for a while. And I will need lots fund raisers just to pay for the costumes, let alone props.

You could try crowdfunding. I.e. getting a lot of people to chip in a few bucks each. One site I've heard of is Indiegogo. Don't really know much about it, other than I've heard of it. www.indiegogo.com/

Yeah I've heard of that site too. I was planning crowdfunding, but I'm not sure if that'll cover all the costs. Just part of it

Looks like it has a lot of potential. I trust Brad Pitt to some extent. I don't think he'd back a poor film.
