I know a guy who runs a local field here in Louisiana (LA) and is planning on putting together a WWII scenario for early January. Anyone living in Louisiana (LA) who is on the boards is welcome to come. We will be using something similar to this ruleset : worldwar2airsoft.com/rules.html . A lot is still in the works, just putting it out there. Probably going to be based on the Battle of the Bulge, so if you dig Ostfront stuff like me you're SOL but its a WWII game nonetheless so take it while you can get it right?

I'm assuming LA is Louisiana and not Los Angeles because you said battle of the bulge and battle of the bulge=snow. Am I correct?

That was my thought too when I saw "LA". "What's Los Angeles doing in the Southland thread?"

That is correct. Louisiana. That is why it's in the Southland Thread. Changed it so its more clear.

Two WW2 Re-enactors in Lafayette are interested. We are members of the 506th PIR re-enactors. Keep us posted. Thanks

Update. Game is going to be at "War Games Airsoft & milsim" in Ponchatula, LA based around The Battle of the Bugle, tailor your impressions to that, no need to get too detailed, the uniform requirements are such so that we get a good turn out. Here is a link to the site's facebook page with links to the event, ruleset/uniform requirements etc. I will be making essentially a duplicate post in the southland board as well. www.facebook.com/events/558890814255145/Tickets and preregistration is advised and a link on this page ^ to eventbrite is attached.

How's about a link to your actual uniform requirements? For instance any limitation to US impressions or are British ones ok? How elaborate are the uniform requirements? Near enough or reenacator grade only? Also, on the eventbrite page it's listed as free and as $25 which is it? Lastly, 4:30 PM Saturday to 4:30PM Sunday...how much of that will actually be spent on the field? Thanks for the info.

Link to uniform Req. >> www.facebook.com/groups/LAAirsoftCommunity/484501998354374/This is the best link I can provide because WWII AA boards is being finicky and won't let me upload the Word doc. As you can see from the link (If it worked), near enough is more than sufficient, going for large turn out here. Brit impression is completely fine just like all other reenactor grade impressions, so long as they're accurate. It is going to be $25 but I didn't set up the eventbrite bit so I'LL have to get back to you on that. 4:30-4:30 is tentative. There will be stoppages for food/breaks. I'm flattered for the interest Mercy. Seen you're British duds in pics before. SOLID. May I politely remind you that this will be no where near as awesome as "Jump to destiny" must've been, but we're tryin!

Thanks for the info...but I don't do bookface so it's of zero assistance. No worries though as long as we're cleared for non-US impressions. We're just looking for a fun time my man. Most games that get ruined are b/c folks tried for "awesome" instead of "makes sense".
A fair portion of the mob do a "will pass with a squint" German stuff rather than allies. I haven't gotten much feed back from our mob on the game attendance so no telling the interest level yet.

That is a good thing, probably better for your health to stay away from the ole'lurkbook. If you would like I could gladly send you the uniform req. via email, I just can't seem to upload it here on the boards for one reason or another.
Yes, that is exactly what we are aiming for. Functional not perfect. I do WWII reenacting so I get enough of the anal detail oriented bs through that no need to expand it into my airsoft hobby, right?

Haha, to true! Thanks for the info. We're probably ok with what we have if you're not super worried about perfect looks.
