I don't know of any groups in Ohio, but there is one here in South East Michigan. I don't know the exact requirements, but I would recommend getting Heer uniforms and gear first, as generally there are too many elite units on the field. Buy what you can at first, and we'll fill the gaps until you can get the rest yourself. Welcome to the forum, by the way!

I go to church across the street from the California School for the Deaf and know a little sign. I used to know more but I didn't practice. Welcome aboard! If you want help assembling a Heer impression, feel free to message me anytime! ?

Welcome! I imagine some minor adjustments within a game could help with your hearing impairment (perhaps things like giving everyone red kerchiefs to wave when hit rather than just shouting), but it should be very easy to make accommodations based on what would be helpful for you.
As with ssgjoe, any advice you need on building an impression, just ask and I'd love to help. You'll find plenty of others here who'll do the same.
