Speaking of tripods. In our ETO game, a German machine gun squad carried the whole day this tripod (Valtteri's), the machine gun and 4-6 cans of ammo (around 10 pounds each). Well, they weren't always fast enough.... Pics are by JH

My GD pnzr oberleutnant at Sundays game (pic courtesy of stubblehopper) Since this pic was taken i've finished the loadout properly with an officers quality national emblem, GD ciphers for the shoulder boards and an extra set of pips to make it a hauptmans jacket.

Just got back from our recent get-together. It was cold but fun. MG Stellung Marsch ohne Tritt And finally, me with my short but period haircut: You might not realize it from the pictures but the MG stellung and the Marsch are according to period tactics. This was a small sample we were able to squeeze out of the photographer. Hopefully we can establish a gallery for this event into our pages.

More pics from the same photoshoot: etulinja.net/s.php?galleria=2The pages are in Finnish but the pictures speak an universal language. To see a larger version of any picture, right-click it and choose "open image in new window". What we did there was: - Go through the basic German drill commands - Practice marching in step, without step, the squad in correct order - Practice attacking and making an MG position Equipment was loosely Ardennes-themed.

Last weekend our reenactment group had a meeting, in which we outfitted everybody as Germans. Took a lot of pictures. Here's one: Do check out the rest too, cool stuff there, I think. etulinja.net/s.php?galleria=3(To view any picture bigger, right-click it and select "open in a new window")
