I was wondering if anyone knows who is the Admin of this page is, and who started it? It would be nice to have something for us on Facebook, since millions of people are on it all the time. It could help potential players find us, but someone else has our name and logo. Is it one of us?

We could start a new page but name it the "Official WW2AA" (emphasis on official). I can even create a FB group as that's more versatile than this forum in my opinion. The group would be easier to find and stumble across than this forum I'd think

You should be able to message the admin. They may respond with who they are/their location. It is worth a shot.

But setting up a FaceBook group is probably a good idea, SSgJoe, I would encourage you to set up one if you have the time. I will help out with it if you want to allow me admin abilities too.

I feel like a group is better than a page since it allows discussions and such

You can add me as an admin, too. I'm usually attached to a computer, haha. I'll PM my FB info, be prepared though, its going to be weird, haha.

Sounds good. I will create the Facebook page and group today, and add you both as admins.

If you would like an admin from the midwest area I would be willing to do it. I can post our upcoming events and such. Let me know.

Aldrich, PM me your FB info. But I think we'll keep it to five admins for now, the guy after Aldrich being the last admin. The admin count will grow as the page increases

This web site was originally kicked off by gordak, captzak and a fellow who went by redlegs. He was an artillery officer and as i understand it went back into the service. Gordak is in conn and is curater of a military museum. Captzak i believe is in the chicago area but he hasnt been active here for a long time. There are several of us who are moderators but I have no clue about the workings of the site. I would love to redo the admin pages, weapons, uniform section etc but no access to do so.
Its really impressive that this site has been up as long as it has. The Vietnam-airsoft site after many many years went down, was restarted by another member and now that has gone away.

We did the same for the general Norwegian airsoft-forum. A group on Facebook was created, and suddenly the forum was left inactive. You must remember facebook isn't searchable as easily as this board is. Finding old information is much harder. I myself and many I know off search these boards for great information. A Facebook group sure can be very nice - just do not let it take over the major activity.

I will always direct those players to here for the abundant information this forum has as a archive and a place to have conversations. I agree, Facebook isn't as versatile as this type of forum is. I actually like proboards better.

Facebook AND this site makes sense to me. I am NOT a Facebook guy AT ALL and would hate to loose or walk away from all the worthwhile archival stuff that is here.
