Hello everyone, Basically I am trying to find a bolt action WW2 era airsoft rifle but can't seem to find any that don't have horrible reviews or that are out of my price range ($200). I really don't have the technically know how to make one myself either Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks!

If you read the thread about it in the "Airsoft G2" Section, one of our French members did a really good hands on review of it. A lot of us here already ordered it and plan on inputting our opinions about it when we get them in.

I suspect you will get a half dozen first hand reviews from our members in the next few weeks. I know I will be submitting one as soon as it arrives and I have had time to test it thoroughly. Ordered it yesterday. Two weeks ago I would have thought your request was entirely unreasonable. Its strange usually manufacturers talk about an "immenent release" for years and years before it actually comes to fruition. This very promising offer and the cheap little springer carbine seemingly came out of no where with little or no advanced word.
Makes you wonder what other wonderful surprises there might be?

With S&T's streak of making lesser known guns, hopefully more wonderful surprises. Hell, they also just released a Type64. If there was ever one of those things in the past, its been long forgotten and they are the only one making it now. Its good to see a company is releasing this type of stuff (yeah, yeah, I know the Type64 isn't WWII, just saying a point).

That's awesome! We will have a first hand review about how it performed at an event. No pressure Droop but pictures please!

as of now they have roughly 82 in stock still. I think they're selling 5 a day it seems? Not bad and could show that we want spring bolties with mags

Nice intel and I have to think if that pace keeps up they have to be pleased. Over time I'm sure spare mags will become readily available as well as scopes and scope hardware. Currently even reproduction scope hardware for M1903s and M1s are more expensive than the guns. Being air guns the tolerances aren't very stringent so scope hardware should be pretty cheap.

From what I can tell the S&T is decent, however it uses a spring which isn't a negative depending on how they designed it. Also with a spring the cocking action is tighter and slower which adds a lil to the realism factor but not so good if yer limp wristed. i really wanna get one for a shooter im curious how it shoots also. I would try to find some reviews on youtube and see how its working for others. And another cool thing is they made a scope mount for it www.evike.com/products/55040/ !!!!!

As the reviews indicated these are decent shooters. Not as hard as the stock VSRs most of us use for our conversions but plenty hard enough to skirmish with at WW2 events. The two weak points seem to be the hop up which is not particularly precise. (Droopailles simple modification is a big improvement and well worth the effort). The other weak point to be aware of is the reload process with the awkward trap door design makes field reloads a challenge to consider.
The replica is gorgeous and I remain very pleased with mine.
