I know this was posted a little while back, but I thought I'd rehash it. Are there any people here from the MI area interested in starting a team? I'm currently running a Army SF milsim team, but I'd love to also be a part of a group of guys who just go to REC or private events in WWII gear...
My interest would not be to go for perfect kits, just WWII "inspired" kits, I guess.

Hi! Me and my friend shiftysgarand on here have been trying to start up an outfit up here. We both have full US airborne kits. I have a custom built 1903a1 (somewhat obsolete now...) And he has a Marushin 8mm M1 Garand. I'd love to get out in to the area again, since we've been pretty inactive lately. Do you have any gear and where in Michigan are you?

I'm in Chelsea, about 15 miles from Ann Arbor and Scott's up near Flint. Check out our site here: ww2airborneairsoft.weebly.com We also used to have a Facebook page, don't know what happened to that.

I'm more or less in the 1944+ kits using the m43 jackets... Like I said, the team I run keeps me pretty occupied, but I'm more than interested in doing some WWII stuff on the side...

Oh, see both of us have M42's. D day gear. That's our standard uniform. We also try to stay away from the Thompsons and Grease guns and go more for the rifles. I see that there's quite a bit if expansion in the American WWII gun area what with the ICS and G&G Garands and now a springer 1903

Scott Collins, Shiftysgarand, myself and a few other have successfully started a routine WWII airsofting group that plays once a month at Phoenix Tactical in Clinton Township, MI. We have been working with the field owners to make it a more WWII friendly atmosphere by adding an MG nest, mortar pit, bunkers, barn, and my current project is a german guard shack which should be about done by saturday evening. we have an mg42, field phones for both sides and 2 Handie Talkies and a jeep. and this is only the beginning! Next game is sunday Nov. 15th at 1pm Join our page on facebook! Axis & Allied WWII Airsoft Michigan www.facebook.com/groups/1573586372907018/

The field, though small, is rapidly becoming more and more WWII-friendly, thanks to hard work by many and the amazing cooperation and generosity of the field owners. WWII Airsoft in Michigan, I think, has risen from the grave and is slowly snowballing into its former state a few years ago. We've had 2 games so far, and already, I've had one friend say, "That was pretty fun, I think I'll want to do that again." At this phase, I think that's our primary mission; immersion will come in time. Ben (aragorn) is also the rival of brownien when it comes to the amount of loaner gear possessed, so if you have an unfinished kit, come on out anyway!

Hello Michigan, I have a squad of 7 "Big Red One" D-Day geared infantry here in WI. As you know 7 on paper = 5 on the field on a good day and 2 on a poor day. I have played with the 2nd.Rangers many times and would be willing to work with them to bring out a group of US or German as needed. The one day starting a 1pm games wouldn't work as well with the total travel time. Any chance of a 2 day or 1 1/2 day event? Would your team be willing to travel to a 2 day event? Central WI?

Hope to see more events held at Phoenix Tactical, I live only about an hour away and am currently acquiring all of the needed German gear. I currently have an AGM MP40, and have an AGM STG44 on backorder (hopefully it won't be too much longer, I can't wait to get my hands on it!) As for field gear goes I have a repro Dot-44 tunic and trousers, and will be ordering some more of the nitty gritty stuff to complete the uniform (i.e. rank insignia, belt, y-straps, mag pouches). Trying to find a decent pair of reproduction jack boots (they're so expensive!) or a similar style as a substitute and relief on my wallet!

Hi sturmgewehr, Phoenix moved, so we switched to a new field in Chelsea (20 minutes west of Ann Arbor.) Our next game is March 26th. We'd love to see you there, especially as we have a lack of Germans.

Thanks for your interest! always happy to have more germans, we have i think 7 currently. we will try playing at Phoenix's new indoor (only) field once its up, and it will be a back up for rain days. the field in Chelsea will be worth the drive because it is 13 acres and we can build on it, thugh our first build day got rained out. we have the german guard shack set up currently and we will be running field phones and building a bombed out farm, among other things in the works. games are $15 and all proceeds go towards the ongoing build fund for our field! if you are on facebook please join us at www.facebook.com/groups/1573586372907018/. Hope to see you on the field!!!

My twin and I plan on going to the game on the 26th. We are driving from South Bend, Indiana. It's our first ww2 game so we are planning on renting German gear/guns. Very excited!

Looking to connect with a German unit/team. I'm in the downriver area; did reenacting with 916th Grenadiers in OH and 9th SS in MI years ago (TSG, never HRS). Have full kit, Heer and SS. Just bought SRC MP40 and G&G 98k. Some of my stuff I need to get rid of because I'll never be as small again as I was when I was 17, but I can get dressed. Never did airsoft before, but looking to start, if someone could help me with an introduction.
