Myself and some other Michigan airsofters have decided to do a REC game for WWII airsofters. We'll be playing with regular airsofters, but the big group of us will encourage other airsofters to get into this side of the sport. We'll be deciding soon on a field and a date, but we're planning on doing it in either MI or Indiana and in late summer/early fall.
Depending on how well this works out, we're gonna attempt this for every other month of so... With the new influx of WWII weapons and members, it's time we start getting more into the REC side of the game. MilSim is the best, but most players are intimidated by it. So I think if we show them they're not alone in their love of history and not limited to a couple MilSim games a year...

Since there's so little set in stone, I can't be certain, but for now, count me in. Kit: US Airborne

What days work best would also be good. I personally much prefer Sundays. Also, what month? Gimme thoughts.

A Saturday or Sunday in August would probably be best for me, I'd have to look at a calendar to find the best one. Have we decided on a field?

I know No Limits holds a few Rec days and draw hundreds of players... Good place to start. Also, the Bastards team holds a few rec days at Hell's Survivors.

What are No Limits' rules on eye pro? Full face protection really wrecks an impression IMO.

Nah, I think it's just full seal goggles. Most paintball fields allow regular goggles for airsofters. I own a low profile set of goggles (like the bobsters, for instance) instead of those huge clunky bolle goggles. They work perfect, and are more like shooter glasses. They're these ones: www.evike.com/products/42917/

Ah, that's not so bad. Is it the same for minors though? A lot fields say "full seal goggles for all and paintball masks for those under 18" and since a lot of our potential members are minors that could be a big turnoff.

That's an excellent point. They probably do say that. But really, there's not much else we can do.

Well put me on the roster. If I can make it, I will! Can't you do full seal goggles and face mesh?

Remember, people, this is more so just that we know where everyone's at. Post up, and we'll see what we can do.
