Well in general the p61 didn't see much in terms of production and combat itself

Wicked looking aircraft, but it came in too late and was already being outclassed by newer German aircraft.

I haven't seen or thought of that plane in years, I have a signature of a pilot that flew a P-61.

A p 61 was so rare and so exotic (even very late in the war) that one was deliberately flown over a Japanese POW camp in Luzon where it performed acrobatics as a means of distracting the guards as a rescue raid was being set up. The distraction was effective as the guards focused their attention skyward as the raiders moved into position across open areas.

That must have been a sight to see and a very cunning plan :DThe Blackbird is a wonderful looking machine. One of my favorite flying machines in the war.
