Wow it's been a while since I visited this thread The quality of pictures and impressions has really improved. Guys are looking amazing. Why, a short, Jewish American, Actual Army Ranger wants to depict a FJ is questionable but you look great none the less.

Battalion 500/600 FJs did jump with MP40s , When FJR6 was undergoing resupply and retraining one of the new things being tried out was the use of weapon bags for long weapons like MG42s and K98ks , this where developed from captured weapon bags taken from 82nd AB troopers in Sicily.
Mig , great looking imps man , one thing though , don't wear the German parachute section as a scarf , FJs where not alllowed to destroy their equipment like that , if caught wearing that you'll be in a world of hurt , use the blue dot scarf or just cut up an allied camo chute , that was a lot more common.

Some of the older FJ jumped with MP40's against standard practice I have read quite a few books on FJ and did an FJ impression. I have never read of them jumping with long guns at all though that is interesting.

MP40 I could see a K98...wow Still I'd rather risk that then hunting down a damn drop cannister with a pistol. Great impressions mig. How heavy is that chute?

There are films of FJR6 jumping with their weapons. MP40s and Kar98s. I'd like to see that. I still stounchly believe that Germans did not jump with their weapons in major operations.

I would bid you to view "Green Devils" the film. It shows many clips of FJ jumping with weapons. The Kar98 was held in your hands untill you were about 15ft from the ground. It was then dropped and held by a line. Also check this out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6voyibA8EAc&feature=relatedNote the wooden MP40 while they are crawling under the JU. Why would they train with weapons to not jump with them?

FJs getting ready to board their transports for the LEROS jump ( the last major jump made by the FJ) Note the MP40s with their covers and the fact that they do carry their K98ks Also notice on this pic that he is carrying his MP40

Ditch the finger gloves.
And perhaps get your uniforms sized down a bit :-)

Hey Alban nice Winter Sniper setup up! As soon as I saw your Kar98 I thought" Oh darn, I can't wait till I get mine done". Even then it won't match yours though.

Alban-two things. First, I really like how you blend with the snow and the stack of dead wood. You are nicely concealed. Instead of asking "where's Waldo," one should be asking "where's the sniper." Second, when looking at the rifle I see that you still have the old bolt/safety arrangement. Did I do the upgrade for you or do you just prefer the original style. I thought I did the cosmetic upgrade for your rifle. Hmmm?

max1337, looks good, try to keep your belt buckle centered, you can do this by adjusting the postion of the center hook (back) of your Y straps. Pockets, Your bread bag should have d rings and leather loops on both sides to accomidate your meskit and canteen. ITs best to look at some pictures to see how this is arranged, ahh and the best thing about officers is pistols and binocs, so get some Alban, stop looking so damn cool you bastard
