Hi all, Impression of a French soldier in the early WW2, BlitzKrieg ! Vest from Hikishop, trousers and gaiters from Spearhead militaria, French boots mle 1945, ammo pouchs repro from QMI, canteen RD, Y straps RD, Belt RD, Helmet RD, gas mask bag RD. No airsoft Mas36, I take the Springfield 1903 S&T. Before the Battle ! After the battle ! Go to STALAG now ! MERDE !

The French have been rather unfairly ignored in the story of the Dunkerque evacuation (since the English wrote the official story, I suppose). The Brits got as many men out of Dunkerque as they did because French soldiers manned a large part of the perimeter. They didn't start evacuating the French until the bulk of the British troops were out. And the French who were evacuated mostly were sent back to France to continue fighting, though by then it was too late to do any good. Another great impression.
