From what I've read earlier, the design was from a BB/pellet gun, they just converted the system to shoot airsoft BB's. So, thats where your lack of hopup comes from.
On top of that....the bayonet is apparently metal. No matter how dull, thats a reaaaaaalllll bad idea for airsofting. This is an instant pass.

Sometimes I wonder just how much time companies spend on gauging what the airsoft crowd (in this case us) wants. With this one, evidently not much.

The metal bayonet would be an easy fix. Co 2 is a better approach for us than gas but...even the co2 guns remain too problematic with overly expensive mags than I am willing to buy. The faux wood if done well is not a deal breaker for me but no hop up? We're all still waiting on spring powered bolties in WW2 replicas that shoot at least 350 fps and offer a price point we can live with. The S&T M1903 and the CYMA carbine shows that it can be done. A Kar 98, SMLE, Arisaka must be on the horizon from someone?

While I'll agree that magazine idea is much better than Red Fire's concept of gas-in-bolt, but here is another dilemma. No ones if the gun will allow the use of top loading with a speed loader.
I'll actually be in SoCal next week, for a nerd convention and vacation, and I should be returning to Evike once more. When I do, I'll be sure to take a look at this.

Without hop up it simply won't achieve the range needed for effective skirmishing without exaggerated plunging fire.

Didn't realize the bayonet was metal, again, this is an odd variant of the rifle to have but they pry figured that they could just redo some of the internals at minimal cost and sell them to airsofters.
In terms of new bolties coming, I am hoping that the 1903 sales were good for S&T as their system seemed fairly useful with the mag at least. If the QC goes up, any new bolties they make will be great
