Since I hope to have a half dozen Mauser variant spring powered rifles eventually. (I have three done up now). I will need appropriate slings for them. I currently use incorrect cotton canvas web slings. I don't need stitich nazi perfect here but want something reasonably viable? Anyone know a good source for such a thing?
They often have B-grade products that are ridiculously cheap-- right now they have MP40 slings that are a bit thin going for $8 a pop. Unfortunately, no discount 98k sings at this moment. The guy who runs it has always been a class act (at least to me), and it's a small shop, if you inquired about a quantity discount he may cut you a deal.
Not the most correct, but the surplus G3 leather slings are cheap as hell, and plentiful. Adjuster is different from the Kar98 sling, and it lacks the buckle, but you can still make it work for the WWII guns.
Again, not perfect, but I think they are really good for loaner purposes.
G3 sling on a Mp-40:
G3 sling on a Kar-98.
May lack the buckle, but if you make the loop after feeding it through the hole like this (never mind the ziptie, it was a field's way of confirming that my FPS was checked to be safe):
It fits snugly back into the hole with no chance of slipping out the other end:
I always though about getting a buckle part and see if it works with the G3 sling for added authenticity, but I haven't tried it yet. It needs to be tried before anyone dumps money on a bulk order of those buckles, haha.
Oh, and almost forgot, the G3 sling set up on the Kar98, works the same way with the STG.

Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

Cpl. Hicks: I haven't been here in years, but I'm glad to see this forum is still kicking! So much great info on here.

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
