Thank you to all who participated in the June 19th Road to Rome WWII Airsoft Tactical. It was a great success with approximately 20 participants divided evenly among both forces. We had two matches that lasted over an hour each.
Scenario 1 - Axis forces assaulted the bridge next to the remains of the FOB. Allies held out for 55 minutes repelling approximately three coordinated assaults by the Germans. Allied lines were broken when a handful of Axis forces managed to breach the southern flank and eliminate most of the allied resistance. The Axis held the bridge for 10 minutes to complete the objective. Resulted in an Axis victory.
Scenario 2 - Allied forces assault the connex box town. It was a back and forth battle at point blank ranges within the town. Small skirmishes occoured the the woods south of the town as both forces attempted to provide small arms fire support on the town. I believe control of the town was traded off five times before the Allies were able to make a strong foothold. Unfortunately towards the end several of the German troops had their guns go down. The scenario lasted approximately and hour. Resulted in an Allied victory.
We do have some lessons learned that we may incorporate into the next event. We strive to improve the quality and simplicity of each event to give everyone good trigger time and action. Keep checking back for updates on The Battle For Lithia 2 - WWII Airsoft Tactical in late summer or early fall.
Special Thanks
