Hi everyone, I've just bought a Tanaka Kar98k which should arrive tomorrow some time. I managed to have a play with it on Sunday before making my decision which is always welcome. I had a few questions so thought fellow WW2 airsofters would be the best people to ask. - To those of you who own or have used one, what is your opinion on it?
- Does anyone know if the Redfire/PPS clone magazines are compatible with the Tanaka?
- Has anyone got any ideas regarding a ZF-39 scope setup? I'm not a fan of long eye relief/pistol scopes so having it at the rear appeals greatly. However the thought of drilling/tapping the receiver seems like unnecessary butchery in my eyes...
Thanks everyone!

The Tanaka Kar 98 is one of the few gas guns that I have consistently heard good things about. How good the follow up clones are is open to debate. I have handled and fired the Tanaka and known several people who skirmished with them with good results. Unfortunately I have no first or second hand experience with any of the gas follow ups.
As for whether the clone magazines are compatible I THINK the answer is no?
