Hello all! Mike's Militaria just set forth a monthly subscription box, in the style of any other monthly subscription "loot crate," just with random reenactor and surplus gear: www.mikesmilitaria.com/collections/military-surplus/products/mikes-militaria-monthly-surplus-gear-box-subscriptionSeeing how his site focuses on WWI until the Cold War, it isn't specifically WWII, but I'd expect they mostly will contain WWI and WWII items (luckily a lot items could be used for both or similar to the other variant). Maybe even some Non-US/German/Commonwealth stuff. So, if you want to slowly build loaner kits and/or start collecting, I'd suggest trying it out. If you are concerned about sizes, the guy should contact you requesting your sizes, after ordering, to give you appropriately sized items. I just signed up for their "Platinum" service, excited to see what I get!

Will do. I already got the shipping notification for my order, and just noticed, its free shipping, too. Which really adds to the deal.

Got my first package in! Top Row: Romanian M79 Paratrooper helm, Portuguese M40 helm, and Finnish M65 field cap. Bottom Row: Romanian WWII Mess Kit, Romanian WWII/Cold War field belt, two Romanian WWI/II single cell, German WWI Mauser, and two Yugoslav SKS dual cell pouches. Definitely happy with it. I got more then what I paid for it, and a decent start for a Romanian WWII impression.

Came home today to this month's Reenactment and Surplus Loot Crate. I was hoping for more WWI/II stuff, but can't really complain with what I did get. Real interesting stuff, and slowly adding onto a WWII Romanian impression. -East German poncho/zeltbahn/tent piece ($50) -Swiss M1918/40 helmet with camo cover ($35) -East German insulated Canteen (<$10) -WWII Romanian rucksack ($55) -Modern German Tropical Flectarn boonie cap ($15) -British Royal Marine Multicam blouse with both Union Jack and Romanian Flag patches on the sleeves (real interesting since I thought Romania only wore British Rust and Sand and DPM cammies). ($25) -Swiss M1918 Bayonet ($90) -Two blue dress/uniform ties from some English speaking country. And I made off with $280 worth of original issue gear from a $200 loot box. Holy applesauce !
