I really hate to talk like this, but I must face reality and I moreso hate to lie to myself and others, but I've lost a lot will and interest in keeping up and creating stuff for this hobby. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I'll still try to make events and will still be part of this community, but most of the local interested players have left, going to leave soon, or lost interest in WWII.
Despite obtaining and making a bunch of gear, uniforms, and weapons, I don't feel there is that much of a point for a "grand scheme" anymore.
Its a tough decision, but I will be going through my stuff weekend and plan on putting up most of my collection for sale. Uniforms, gear, weapons (rifles and smgs), etc etc, and only keeping personal kits and maybe one or two loaner kits for each main country. Please don't start contacting me with stuff like "do you have X" right now, please wait until I get a sale post going. Luckily most of my stuff is in good condition, and I will probably sell at below-average costs and most likely in full kits.
I'll probably start getting rid of modern guns, too, but I'll keep those off here....
Again, I hate to do this, and I think this a fine community, one of the best I've been a part of, but I personally don't feel need, either emotionally or financially, to try keep going full gung-ho like I was.
So, in short, I'm just doing a massive down sizing of what I have.

This is sad to hear of course but take it from me (I've been knocking around this hobby longer then anyone). It's natural to be hot and cold on it and to get discouraged and impatient from time to time. It's good to purge and rethink priorities. Do what you need to do. The hobby needs folks like you but no one should have to shoulder as much as you've taken on. Ease back and relax a bit. Don't feel bad about your need to reassess. It's only natural.

Indeed.
Also, a lot of this stuff, if just kept, won't ever be used (or even displayed/shown off, just tucked away in flight bags in my storage room). Outside my personal impressions, most of my stuff is either repro, homemade/modded, and/or post-war, so not a lot of it is really wothy enough to keep as a collector's item. These are more factors into my decision, I didn't make it lightly and its been on my mind for a long time.

I stepped through all my stuff and there's lots that are just over and above what would ever get used. The challenge is the things I want to Cull have little value. They were fine in the early stages of just getting stuff together that just loosely formed an impression of either GIs or Krauts! They served their purpose as the allowed folks to come to events and participate who otherwise wouldn't have but ultimately the players who got hooked acquired better stuff of their own.
In an effort to see it get utilized I am considering putting on a very loose WW2 "themed" event with a local non historical airsoft group. The other thought is approach some local theatrical costume shops and see if they want consign some of the hokier set ups. Odds are they won't know and what I could provide them would be much better than what they have!

Luckily, most of my stuff was either borderline f a r b y, actual repros/originals, or that "just right" for our hobby and purposes. Anything else will probably will be donated.

Donation is probably the best bet but the hoarder part of me finds that hard to do. I really should settle on 8 to 10, good complete sets of both GI and German set ups instead of the two dozen hodgepodge US and 12 or so very partial German get ups.
I wish my German looked as good as my GI. The reality is to the average person they all now look pretty good. I artificially "dirtied up" your bread baskets and assembled web set ups so in distant scenes they'd look pretty convincing. That was my goal and I think I'm there. I now have to get equally as creative about finding ways to fill them out with actual bodies underneath!

Donation would just be for "normal clothing" stuff. For example, all the stone and dary grey Dickie work pants and grey work/field button-up shirts as stand-ins for German trousers and service shirts, brown long sleeve Henley shirts for British undershirts, etc etc. Luckily, I was able to really keep this type of stuff down to a minimum, but unluckily, I don't think it would really be desired by anyone here since they are outright wrong.
Everything else though, has some value in it at least. East German tunic conversions at lower end of that spectrum, but it could still be desirable to a degree.
Eventually, I'll get around to using up the last of HBT and Field Grey wool (that I found on sale from time to time) fabrics to make German tunics and trousers and put them up for sale along with some other unfinished items. I got another set of 5 or so E. German canteens I need to make new covers and straps for.

The WW2 airsoft scene in utah is pretty weak/ non existant, still in the green vs tan/grey game with a WW2 battle name stage, and even then not very well attended. So, in an effort to nudge things along, I might be interested in some clothes that are the right colors at least...

I'll keep that in mind and will post them up. They will be cheap since they were all thrift store stuff. But note, nothing particulary is even close. The work shirts were meant to be the under service shirts, to be worn under much-less-wrong modded E. German and homemade tunics.
