This is kind of last minute but I'll be having a friend attending who has a full impression but needs to borrow a gun. Would he be able to get a loaner for this event? I'd give him one of mine but my MP40 is my only functioning airsoft gun at the moment unfortunately... He would be going as German. I have an MP40 I can loan him. What's your friends name? Need to put him done on the reg. list. Thanks. Also, If you can, bring your U.S. Impression. I may need you to flip to even out the sides. Thanks, Migs

Bridge Rules Here are the rules regarding the assault on the Lundendorf Bridge:
German forces must be deployed on the town side of the Bridge and in the Town of Remagen. This means forces will be in and out of the town. Germans will set up Bridge defenses such as barricades, obstacles and of course troops. Prior to the event, German forces will place under/on the side of the Bridge 4 bundles of TNT. These bundles will be "wired" together with a fake fuse leading into the town. During the entire course of the event, German forces will only have ONE opportunity to "Blow" the Bridge. This will be determined by a Fire Works explosions in a safe area in the town. Immediately thereafter, a "Cloud Maker" smoke bomb will be detonated by the entrance of the Bridge on the town side. The main objective of U.S Forces is to remove/disconnect at least Three of the bundles in order to safely cross the Bridge.U.S. forces will attack the Bridge over and over until this object is achieved. Therefore, U.S. re-spawns will be unlimited.
If and when the Germans "blow" the Bridge, any U.S. forces on the Bridge, under the Bridge or directly on the side of it will be KIA.
Of course we will stick with the historical facts. The Bridge will never be considered "Fully Blown" or too badly damaged to cross. But game play rules will dictated how and when U.S forces will be able to cross the Bridge.
In regards to the Town's Flanks.
Since this is a Bridge crossing, U.S forces will only be able to enter the town either on the Bridge or on it's flanks through the water. Other flank positions such as the road to Kafir Hill and Swamp area CAN NOT be used to enter the town. These positions can be used to fire upon the town, but no advancement can occur through these flanks.
German Re-Spawns
Germans must go to the gate area entering the Fire Base area for re-spawn after their first hit. After their second hit, they must go there again but wait 5 minutes before rejoining the fight. A third hit will count them out for that "Round of fighting"
Depending on if and when U.S. forces take the Bridge and the town, a new scenario will be discussed with both sides CO's to determine the next AO and scenario.
Just remember that the Lundendorf Bridge eventually did collapse 10 days after it's capture. This fact may come into play for a game play scenario.
These rules will be discussed at the safety briefing.

Mission Recommendations for U.S. forces All U.S. soldiers should have some sort of device to cut twine with. The bundles of TNT under the Bridge will be bound by twine and possibly zip ties. If you have a wire cutter, or a safety box cutter, that would work. Of course whatever you carry, make sure it is safely tucked away on your person so you or anyone else can't get hurt. Migs

Thanks, Migs Joe, Unfortunately my friend won't be able to attend after all, sorry about that. He's a blank-fire guy and I thought I'd try to get him into airsoft. Also, you got it, I'll bring both uniforms just in case. See you all tomorrow! AJ
