All you youngsters may not remember the 6 Day War between Israel and Egypt, Jordan and Syria in 1967 (that was the year I graduated from high school. I'm old). Anyway, here's a Mark Felton video about Syrian armor in that war, something I didn't know. The backbone of the Syrian armor force was made up of ….. WWII surplus Panzerkampfwagen IV's, collected from all over Europe. They also used some Russian armor. On the Israeli side, in addition to M48's and Centurions, they had a lot of upgraded Shermans. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbgW9C9G0H4

One of the Syrian PZKMFWGN MKIVs was purchased by Paul Allen (Microsoft co chairman) and is at the heritage myseum in Everett, WA. It is intact but far from restored. He paid quite dearly for it.

Interesting!
Never thought these armored vehicles saw action so late after the WWII.

The '67 War was really only 22 years after the end of WWII.
