Just testing the waters here, but would anyone be interested in a Korean War event? I have seen almost zero discussion about them here or anywhere else, which is a real shame because I think from a gear standpoint, they would actually be easier than WWII. Original US gear is still available, and many variants of equipment and airsoft weapons provided by manufacturers that are incorrect for WWII will fit right in 5 years later. M2 Carbines, M1944 gear, and late versions of the BAR immediately come to mind, and a lot (if not most) of our current WWII equipment could be used as well. ROK, North Korean, and Communist Chinese gear would be trickier, but WWII Soviet and Japanese equipment and weapons could be used as stand-ins (or correctly in a lot of cases).
The Korean War is, I think, a fascinating conflict that has sadly earned the moniker "The Forgotten War." It is often lumped in with either WWII or Vietnam, when in reality it was very different from either of those conflicts. I bet the initial invasion of June 1950, the Battle(s) of Seoul, the Pusan Perimeter, the landing at Inchon, and even the later stalemate reminiscent of WWI could provide interesting scenarios for airsoft recreation, but the first obstacle is of course interest. Does anyone have experience, interest, or curiosity in Korean events?

100% agree with you. It is all a conflict that can be reenacted in any season and in a wide variety of terrain.

If I wasn't getting too old and living too far away I'd be interested. I think it has potential.

Old gravel pits would replicate the terrain on an appropriately smaller scale.

In a Vietnam game when we were trying to replicate human wave type attacks the rule was if you could rush beyond you comrades who were down they regened. It worked quite well. To add to the effect attackers could take 3 steps as they advanced after hit unless it was a head shot. In the night attack with bugles and whistles and lots of tracers the visual effect was amazing. 20 attackers felt like 100!
